  • Patent number: 11041569
Abstract: A seat plate which maintains constant contact and load against the gate to keep sealing surfaces protected is disclosed. The seat plate has a dynamic seat function ie live-loaded to follow the gate surface during stroking and high temperature changes. The valve maintains a positive barrier between body steam chamber and process fluid through port. The valve uses an extended seat plates to maintain constant contact with gate in all positions such that all process is captured and not allowed to enter body chamber. The seat plate allows for sufficient axial seat travel upstream and downstream to balance sealing load on both sides of gate. In addition, an axial hard stop on each seat allowing upstream seat to maintain sealing contact with gate.

  • Patent number: 10683941
Abstract: A valve having improved resistance to black powder wear and damage includes a valve body defining a flow passage therethrough, an upper bonnet assembly defining a stem opening, and a stem passing through the stem opening. The valve also includes an elongate gate having a proximal end operatively attached to the stem, a distal end, an orifice sized and adapted to permit essentially unopposed passage of material through the gate when the orifice is aligned with the flow passage of the valve body, the orifice being located proximate the proximate end of the gate, and a solid portion sized and adapted to substantially completely block the flow of material through the gate when the solid portion is aligned with the flow passage of the valve body, the solid portion being located distally of the orifice such that the orifice is located between the proximal end and the solid portion.

  • Patent number: 5263685
Abstract: A valve seat arrangement sealing against a valve core in a valve, particularly for a ball valve, having an inner ring with a first deflectable sealing lip and an outer ring with a second deflectable sealing lip. The first deflectable lip is arranged to protrude forwardly to make initial contact with a closing valve core and once deflected, the second lip is arranged to land against said closing valve core forming a secondary seal. The first sealing lip and the second sealing lip are fashioned having selectively angled beveled surfaces facing the core. The invention provides an effective sealing arrangement for high temperature service.
