  • Patent number: 7669712
Abstract: A storage case has a base and a lid parallel to the base. The base has a rigid base plate with a rigid support for a data disk that stores digital information. The base has a fastening zone arranged centrally on the base plate and connected to the base plate by springy radial sections. The fastening zone has a central rigid pressure element and tongues distributed about the pressure element for securing positively the data disk. The tongues have integral snap-on cams projecting past an edge of a central opening of the data disk resting on the support. The radial sections have inner ends connected directly to the pressure element. The tongues are connected by a bending location to the inner ends. The support is arranged directly about the radial sections so as to be proximal to the edge of the central disk opening.

  • Publication number: 20050224377
Abstract: The invention relates to a storage case for at least one image, sound or data carrier, such as a CD or a DVD. The interior, which accommodates at least one image, sound or data carrier, is surrounded by two base elements (1,2) which are connected to each other by means of a joint (9a, 9b). The first base element (1) holds the data carrier (13). The second base element (2) is a lid which seals the interior when the storage cassette is closed. A locking part (20), which can be extracted from the storage case, is arranged between opposite inner sides (23,17) of the base elements (1,2), locking the base elements in the region of the second longitudinal edge (11) opposite the first longitudinal edge (10). The inventive storage case is provided with locking structures (21,22) which protrude into the interior in order to provide a mass-produced, low-cost storage case whose contents are protected against unauthorized access and whose dimensions do not exceed the dimensions of conventional storage cases.

  • Patent number: 6079557
Abstract: A packaging for receiving a disc-shaped information carrier such as a CD has a disc holder in the form of an injection-molded plastic part. The disc holder has a depression into which the information carrier can be placed from above. Securing elements are formed at the disc holder for the information carrier inserted into the depression. A substantially rectangular cover is provided for the disc holder. The cover is connected with a first edge of the cover to the disc holder. A closure is fixedly connected to a second edge of the cover opposite the first edge, wherein the closure together with the disc holder is a component of one and the same injection-molded plastic part. The material connection between the disc holder and the closure is at least one break point, wherein after breakage of the at least one break point the closure, already connected to the cover, is detachably secured to the disc holder.

  • Patent number: 5682991
Abstract: A cassette for receiving a compact disc has a housing including a base and a cover whereby the cover is pivotably connected with the pivot connection to the base for opening and closing the housing. A plate insert is positioned in the housing and has securing elements for securing at least one compact disc thereat. The base has a rectangular bottom with opposite longitudinal edges. The base has upwardly extending first sidewalls connected to the longitudinal edges. The cover has a rectangular top wall extending parallel to the bottom. The top wall has opposite longitudinal edges with sidewalls connected thereto. The second sidewalls extend downwardly when the housing is closed. The plate insert has a rectangular base plate with opposite longitudinal edges. The rectangular base plate has lateral projections in a plane of the base plate at the longitudinal edges in an area where a compact disc secured at the plate insert is closest to the longitudinal edges.

  • Patent number: 5244085
Abstract: Casing for one to six compact disks, comprising a base (10), a disk-holder tray (12, 63) and a pivoting device, the tray (12, 63) being able to open through 180.degree.. The disk-holder tray (12, 63) comprises a rectangular plate (35) having lateral protrusions (36) carrying strengthening ribs (41). The protrusions (36) and ribs (41) are capable of engaging in recesses (17, 27, 86) formed in the lateral walls (14, 26, 82) of the base (10) and of the pivoting device. The configuration of the trays (12, 63) allows them to be stacked in an automated manner. Original configurations of the disk holding system.
