  • Patent number: 9319837
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for automatically creating a geofence (1), comprising the following steps: detecting a starting position; transferring the starting position to a digital map; automatically creating an area object on the digital map, wherein the area object comprises the starting position; detecting movement data of at least one moveable object in the region of the area object; and automatically reducing the area object to form the geofence (1), on the basis of the movement data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 4, 2013
Date of Patent: April 19, 2016
    Assignee: DEUTSCHE POST AG
    Inventors: Frank Josefiak, Filip Petkov

  • Patent number: 9014978
Abstract: For a more efficient utilization of data that are relevant to safety and/or mobility, data are read from a plurality of data sources. The data of each data source sets of coordinates of real locations relevant for a respective aspect can be determined. Based on a respective set of coordinates for each of the real locations a respective area is then defined for each of the data sources, and a value assigned to the area is determined. Overlapping areas defined for a respective data source are aggregated so as to obtain non-overlapping areas with at least one assigned value for each of the data sources. The non-overlapping areas are superposed with the assigned values. The result is a value distribution, which reflects an overall situation with regard to the at least two aspects in a real region. An apparatus, a system, a program and a storage medium are configured accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20140229502
Abstract: The invention relates, inter alia, to a method, a device, a system, a program and a storage medium for selecting one or more sets of logistics data from one or more data sources in accordance with at least one search criterion and a search region. A mobile position is or can be assigned to each of the sets of logistics data, and only sets of logistics data to which the search criterion applies and the assigned or assignable position of which lies in the search region are selected.
