  • Patent number: 10993303
Abstract: A power supply circuit may include at least a first and a second current generator. Each current generator is implemented with an electronic converter comprising a switching stage, a current sensor generating a feedback signal, and a regulator circuit configured to drive the switching stage as a function of the feedback signal. Specifically, each current sensor is a low-side current sensor configured to generate a feedback signal indicative of the current received via the negative terminal of the respective current generator. The power supply circuit may include also include a control circuit configured for various tasks pertaining to the first and second generators.

  • Patent number: 9413247
Abstract: A method of operating an electrical power supply device having a primary side and a secondary side is provided. The method includes transmitting with an optocoupler arranged between the primary side and the secondary side a wide band control signal and a numerical information signal. The method further includes transmitting the control signal and the information signal over a rectangular-wave signal modulated in combination with frequency modulation and pulse width modulation. The control signal and the information signal are the modulating signals for frequency modulation and pulse width modulation of said rectangular-wave signal.

  • Patent number: 8816603
Abstract: A method for controlling the operation of an electronic converter (10), comprising a power output (120) for providing a power supply signal (120) for a light source (L), wherein said light source (L) is coupled to an identification element (300, 400) which identifies at least one control parameter of said light source (L), and a data line (200b) for connection to said identification element (300, 400), wherein said method comprises: detecting (1002) the value of the voltage on said data line; (200b), comparing (1004, 1010) the detected value of said voltage with at least a first and a second range of values; (802, 804, 806), and a) determining said at least one control parameter as a function of the detected voltage (1002, 1044) on said data line (200b), if the detected voltage is within the first range (802), or b) communicating (1032) with said identification element (300) by means of a digital communication protocol in order to receive said at least one control parameter from said identification element (3

  • Publication number: 20130057155
Abstract: A method for supplying power to a plurality of light generators (CH1, CH2, CH3) which emit respective chromatically different light radiations that can be mixed with one another to produce a mixed light radiation by selectively activating said generators with respective supply powers (P1, P2, P3) over respective activation intervals (T1, T2, T3) included in an activation period (T), provides for: identifying (102) at least one pair of generators (CH1, CH2; CH2, CH3) for which the sum of the respective activation intervals (T1, T2; T2, T3) is less than said activation period (T), and temporally offsetting the activation (106) of the generators (CH1, CH2; CH2, CH3) in the one pair, avoiding simultaneous activation.
