Abstract: Stable, topical compositions comprising high levels of ascorbic acid are provided, which comprise an anhydrous component containing at least 15 weight % ascorbic acid and an oil-in-water emulsion component combined at the point of use. Such compositions provide increased permeation of ascorbic acid.
