  • Patent number: 7688210
Abstract: An electronic ID tag (2) for mounting in a body (18), in which at least the identity of the body (18) is to be remotely readable, the electronic ID tag (2) including an identifiable chip (24) which is electrically connected to at least one adjacent antenna (26), the identifiable chip (24) being arranged to receive energy via the adjacent antenna (26) and by means of this energy to transmit, via the adjacent antenna (26), a signal including the identity of the electronic ID tag to a distant antenna (1), and there being arranged, between the adjacent antenna (26) and the identifiable chip (24) and between the identifiable chip (24) and a ground-plane plate (28) impedance-matched inductances (34, 40), the electronic ID tag (2) being placed, with advantage, in the box portion or pin (44) of a body (18), whereby it is protected against mechanical wear.

  • Patent number: 5844808
Abstract: Devices and methods to monitor a distributed system for supplying goods or services and to generate messages concerning the state of the system and the supplied goods or services, Two-way communication within the system occurs between remote local units and a host computer in a control and information processing center. The local units are equipped with a microcontroller with a memory coupled to a plurality of sensors that detect the occurrence of and provide information regarding specified events, such as sales of goods, unauthorized entry into the local unit, and notification of low inventory stock.

  • Patent number: 4051959
Abstract: In a system for handling goods on carriers for combined railway and overland transportation, the use of a truck having its own pulling/pushing device for pulling/pushing the carriers in the longitudinal direction of the truck from a railway car, across the latter and over onto the truck's platform and the other way around. The carriers have connecting means for coupling with the pulling/pushing device. The truck has a carrying platform which can be raised and lowered to adjust the height of the railway car's loading platform.
