  • Patent number: 4648465
Abstract: An implement for levelling the surface of an agricultural field, a so-called furrow-smoother, comprises a plurality of rings of rotary knives to throw the surface earth laterally away from the higher areas. The rings of knives are journalled in bearings which are suspended from a carrier frame by means of arms that extend below the bearings and substantially tangentially therefrom so as not to catch plant remains (straw, stem, and root material) carried along by the two knife rings sweeping on either side of the bearing arm.

  • Patent number: 4429436
Abstract: The shaft of a harrow tine is clamped to a crosswise extending support rod or frame by means of an angular holder comprising a first leg to be threaded onto the shaft of the harrow tine until it abuts one lateral edge of the support rod, and a second leg to overlie the support rod and presenting at its free end an integral bolt to be inserted through a hole in the harrow tine shaft and to abut the other lateral edge of the support rod.

  • Patent number: 4382474
Abstract: In a soil cultivating implement comprising a harrow with tines and a trailing bladed rotor for smoothing the furrowy nature of the field surface left behind the rear row of harrow tines, the blades of said rotor are arranged in groups with intermediate spaces aligned with the harrow tines of the rear row of tines. Each group comprises at least three rings of blades which all work the earth ridges left behind the harrow.

  • Patent number: 4279541
Abstract: A stop end piece for closing particularly gutters, comprises a plate having a peripheral channel which is formed by the bent peripheral edge of the plate and a portion extending along said edge, which portion protrudes from the plane of the plate in the same direction as said peripheral edge. The peripheral edge has teeth which extend across the channel obliquely towards said portion and bear against or terminate at a small distance from the boundary surface of said portion, which faces said peripheral edge. The end of the gutter to be closed can be pressed into the channel, the teeth urging the inner side of the gutter wall into snug engagement with said boundary surface and simultaneously preventing withdrawal of the gutter end from the channel by their engagement in the outer side of the end of the gutter.
