Abstract: A two-dimensional hyperspectral imaging system for imaging a plurality of light signals of a sample by Fourier spectroscopy includes a first optical element, a second optical element, a phase difference modulator and an image sensor. The light signals pass by the first optical element. The second optical element is spaced away from and parallel to the first optical element, and the light signals pass by the second optical element. The phase difference modulator is closer to the first optical element than the second optical element to the first optical element, and configured for modifying a phase difference of adjacent two of the light signals. The image sensor is configured for receiving the light signals reflected from the first optical element and the second optical element, and operating Fourier transforming on the light signals. The second optical element is between the first optical element and the image sensor.

  • Publication number: 20240285178
Abstract: Provided is an optical sensor for monitoring pulse waveform and blood pressure of a subject. The optical sensor may be manufactured with compact structure, low profile, low cost, and exhibits benefits of disposability, easy to apply, immunity to electro-magnetic interference, high sensitivity, having minimal affect towards sense of touch, maintains patient safety, and supportive of accurate real-time measurements for the clinician. Therefore, pulse waveform and blood pressures of a subject may be faithfully monitored continuously throughout day and night, so as to provide abundant prognostic information while avoiding interference in normal daily activity of the subject. Also provided is a system utilizing the optical sensors for monitoring pulse waveform and blood pressure of a subject.

  • Publication number: 20240255406
Abstract: Provided is a method for measuring fluid's viscosity and mass flow, including the steps of immersing one end of an optical fiber into fluid, emitting a light beam by a light source, receiving the light beam by the optical fiber; and measuring the viscosity and the mass flow of the fluid in a sink based on a displacement of the one end of the optical fiber. The method further includes tapering the one end of the optical fiber and coating a surface of the one end of the optical fiber with a deposited gold thin film as a mirror. The light source is an unpolarized diode laser. Accordingly, the size of the measurement system setup is reduced by using ultra-small sensors. Moreover, the present disclosure also provides methods for fluid's viscosity and mass flow measurement by using intensity modulating sensors, elliptical core two-mode fiber-optic sensors and Fabry-Perot interferometer sensors.
