  • Patent number: 8499579
Abstract: A built-in refrigerator includes a water and drinks dispenser, or an ice maker, placed on the outside of the refrigerator door. The refrigerator is installed in a modular kitchen furniture unit provided with a door panel. A sliding connection between the dispenser and the door panel of the furniture unit allows the simultaneous opening and closing of the door and the door panel and, when the door is in the closed position, prevents residual liquids or solids from falling into the air space existing between the door and the door panel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 20, 2007
Date of Patent: August 6, 2013
    Assignee: Whirlpool Corporation
    Inventors: Armando Luisi, Fiorenzo Casoli
  • Patent number: 8147017
Abstract: A refrigerator, the construction of which provides for the use of a seal (70) inserted into the structure of the chamber (50) or into the door (60), which minimises the distance (D2) between the door and the structure of the chamber of the refrigerator in the closed position, increasing the thermal tightness of the refrigerator with the door closed and thereby increasing the efficiency of the refrigerator.

  • Patent number: 7607744
Abstract: A domestic refrigerator comprises a cavity (c) with side walls (10a) provided with removable opposing supporting elements (16) and having guides (22) capable of co-operating with lateral sliders (26) for shelves (14) in order to permit the latter to be positioned at different heights. Said shelves (14) comprise two planar portions (18, 20) articulated with one another, a first portion (18), which is more extensive in the manner of a leaf, co-operating with the guides (22, 22a-d) with the aim of being able to assume two stable positions at different heights, a second portion (20) in the manner of a bracket co-operating rotatably with seats for said supporting elements so as to be able to assume a first configuration substantially coplanar with the leaf and a second configuration angled relative to the latter.

  • Publication number: 20080011006
Abstract: The present invention relates to a refrigerator to be built into surrounding cabinetry having a body having a cavity for food preservation, at least two thin side panels, a thin top panel, and at least one thin front panel. The side panels, top panel, and front panel have a finish that matches the surrounding cabinetry and are removably mounted to the body, thereby maintaining the original volume and structural stiffness of the refrigerator.

  • Publication number: 20040263038
Abstract: A domestic refrigeration appliance, in particular a refrigerator, provided with a preservation compartment having interior side walls and shelves disposed on supports, the supports being removably connectable to predetermined points of the interior side walls. The supports can include slotted tubular extensions for insertion into the openings of the interior side walls. Bushes may be provided in the openings of the interior side walls to insertably receive the slotted tubular extensions.

  • Patent number: 5842760
Abstract: A structure insulated for example by expanded polyurethane or the like, such as a refrigerator cabinet or freezer cabinet, comprises a plurality of compartments separated from each other by an interspace, the insulating material injected into said structure enclosing said compartments on all sides except the access side and positioning itself in the interspace. At opposing ends of said interspace there are positioned separator means openable in the manner of an envelope and arranged to separate, during its injection into the structure, the insulating material directed around the compartments from that directed into the interspace, said separator means comprising a flat portion parallel to the sides of the insulated structure.
