    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system and method for automatic sorting of natural intestines/casings for use in the production of food products, and especially as casings for sausages. A partly hollow feeding mandrel is configured to hold an intestine such that the intestine surrounds the feeding mandrel. The feeding mandrel includes a measuring area configured to transport water through a hollow part of the feeding mandrel through punctures in a surface of the measuring area, and into a cavity of the surrounding intestine. A vision device obtains images of the intestine, and a processor processes the images to sort the natural intestines or casings.

    Abstract: A logic network is simulated, including partitioning logic operations into domains and ranking the operations. Some operations are dependent on source operations from other domains. Pairs of operations having common dependencies are then separated by at least as many operations as the total number of operations in the domains of the respective source operations. All operations are then merged into an order having a certain relation to the respective domain orderings, but omitting nop's inserted to achieve desired separation. Then pairs of operations having common dependency are again separated, this time making advantageous use of overlaps, so that nop's are reduced, to improve simulation time. Due to separations, after one value is computed for one instance of an operation depending on a source operation, a next value is computed for the source operation before computing the next instance of an operation depending on the source operation.

    Abstract: This system sets up a framework that allows for separating debug information from executable code. The system is comprised of a compiler, a linker and a debugger. The compiler produces optimized object code and a debugging information file that contains information necessary for symbolic debugging. The linker merges the optimized object files to produce an optimized executable file as well as debugging information files to produce a composite debugging information file. This debugging information file can be further refined when the program is executed to include runtime dependencies. The debugger provides a source code debugging environment and a core dump debugging environment for the optimized code. The debugger allows monitoring of variable values, placement of watches on changes in variable values, setting breakpoints by location or by name and performing program debugging at a source code level.

    Abstract: A formal verification method and apparatus allowing a user, via a waveform-based graphical user interface, to modify the waveform displayed by a verification algorithm by highlighting specific values at specific cycles. The user may begin either from scratch or from an existing trace produced by the tool. After running the tool, the resultant waveform represents a trace that the user wishes to extract from the model using the verification tool. The annotations input by the user are translated to “cycle-specific invariants” to force the tool to produce a trace that satisfies the desired annotated waveform and to insure a much faster and more efficient query. The invariants are then passed to a verification algorithm, which outputs a trace satisfying these invariants. The user determines whether the trace is satisfactory and may add additional constraints to the waveform to derive a subsequent trace until the user is satisfied.

These meta-tool variables keep track, at once, of all concurrent streams of execution that the tool is considering in its reachability analysis. The image of an initial state variable is found and then divided into a frontier of new states and a set of previously reached states. The previously reached states are ignored and the image of the frontier is found. This process continues until the frontier is empty and all possible states have been reached. In one embodiment of the present invention, the probabilities of the paths can be considered by sampling and holding input data using SMV (a model checking tool) variables.
