Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for the routing of totes and bottles within a pharmacy fulfillment center are disclosed. The system, method, and apparatus are configured to transmit routing tables from an application server to station controllers (e.g., PLCs) to enable each station to locally make a routing decision. Since the routing logic is locally stored at each station, the controllers do not need to transmit request messages to the server every time a tote or bottle is scanned. The system, method, and apparatus increase conveyor throughput by enabling each station to make a routing decision without having to wait for a response from a server.

Abstract: Methods and systems for capping prescription medication bottles are provided. In one embodiment, a capping system is provided that includes a first position at which uncapped bottles containing fulfilled prescriptions are received. The capping system also includes a second position at which uncapped bottles are capped. The second position may include a capping member that is axially aligned with a vertical centerline of uncapped bottles located at the second position. The capping system may also include an index wheel configured to support bottles within the capping system. The index wheel may be rotatable to convey uncapped bottles from the first position to the second position. The capping system may further include a cap track that provides caps to the capping member.

Abstract: A low profile, color-based counting system. A housing has a light source, such as a matrix of LEDs, preferably disposed in the housing for generating electromagnetic radiation upwardly. A removable, translucent tray is disposed above the light source. A second light source can be added above the tray, directing light downwardly thereto. A color camera is mounted on the housing and above the removable translucent tray.

Abstract: An imaging inspection apparatus which utilizes a plurality of individual imaging inspection devices (e.g., X-ray Computer Tomography scanning devices) positioned on a frame for directing beams onto articles having objects therein to detect the objects based on established criteria. The apparatus utilizes a conveyor which is not physically coupled to the frame having the imaging inspection devices to pass the articles along a path of travel to an inspection location within the apparatus, whereupon the inspection devices direct beams onto the article and the beams are detected and output signals provided to a processing and analysis assembly which analyzes the signals and identifies certain objects which meet the criteria.
