Abstract: The invention is directed toward a universal self-sealing air extraction valve mounted to a self-closing plastic bag through which a pilot hole has been made. Air is extracted from the bag through the valve and prevented from returning to the bag after extraction, at which time, the valve is sealed with a cap assembly.

Abstract: A cooking apparatus for batter based foods that can be inserted into the slot of a traditional toaster and cooked using the toaster's heating mechanism. The apparatus has two hingedly connected complimentary cooking members, that when closed one upon the other, define an interior cavity shaped in the form of the desired cooked product. A clamping mechanism is built into the handles of each of the two cooking members and an overflow reservoir is formed by each of the cooking members and is positioned between the handles to vent gasses, steam, and/or excess batter upward when the device is placed in the toaster for cooking, thereby protecting the interior mechanism of the toaster from spillage.

Abstract: A hand-held icing dispenser for use by a person in decorating a cake with icing dispensed through an icing tip, comprising a dispensing nozzle constructed of an integrally formed cylindrical base section with a threaded exterior surface, an integral intermediate offset funnel section extending from said cylindrical base section and a tubular dispensing section extending from said funnel section positioned angularly from the center axis of the cylindrical base section. The tubular dispensing section has an external threaded portion at its distal end and a ring member is mounted on a threaded portion of the cylindrical base section to hold a flexible bag secured on the cylindrical base section. A decorator tip is removably mounted on said the tubular dispensing section.

Abstract: An electrically powered apparatus for peeling vegetables and fruits having a handle housing containing a rotary electric motor with a rotatable output shaft, the output shaft being accessible from a distal end of the housing and a battery power source contained within the handle housing. A manually operable switch is mounted on the housing to operate the motor. A rotatable flexible peeler assembly is detachably connected to the output shaft for rotation by the shaft, with the flexible peeler assembly comprising a plurality of flexible blade members mounted to a cylindrical support base member and a cutting tip mounted to distal end of the support base member. Each flexible blade member is formed with a base portion which is mounted in the support base member and defines a plurality of transverse slits which extend away from the base portion to the outer edge of the blade member to form a plurality of flexible abrasive strips.

Abstract: An insert member for a pancake cooking pan which can be turned during the cooking process for cooking foods such as pancakes and omelets that begin in liquid form and then are solidified during the cooking process. The insert member having a cooking body made of a heat conductive material and formed with a central flat bottom portion; a curved side wall extending upward from the bottom portion, a handle mounted to the cooking body and extending outward from one side of the cooking body. A mounting assembly is secured to the cooking body opposite from the handle and extending from the cooking body. The mounting assembly being adapted to be mounted to a rod extending between hinges of an existing pancake cooking pan and comprising a planar extension member and a U shaped channel member mounted on the distal end of the planar extension member.

Abstract: A cooking pan assembly comprising; a top pan body pivotally mounted to a bottom pan body, the bottom pan body defining a reservoir and having a handle mounted extending from the bottom pan body and a middle pan body defining a reservoir which has a lesser surface area than that of the bottom pan reservoir mounted to the bottom pan with the middle pan body extending into the reservoir of the bottom pan. The middle pan is constructed with a pan body having a side wall defining a cavity and a flat bottom, a handle secured to the pan body and an elevation support member extending from the side wall opposite the handle. The bottom pan is provided with an angled elevation member defining a plurality of parallel slots which receive the elevation support member of the middle pan.

Each bowl assembly is formed with a closed semi-spherical end and an open end forming a cavity, and a cover member which is mounted over said open end, the cover member having an inner bowl extending therefrom which extends into the cavity.

Abstract: A wire storage rack for storing pots, pans, skillets and lids comprising a plurality of wire members, each of which is provided with a plurality of sleeve assemblies providing horizontal and vertical adjustment of the wire members. Each sleeve assembly is constructed of a sleeve with a freely rotatable threaded nut mounted on one end. A plurality of anchor legs are mounted to the sleeve assemblies for anchoring the wire storage rack and an offset “U” shaped wire member with a plurality of shaped upright rods is secured to said sleeve assemblies.

Abstract: A storage rack for storing pots, pans, skillets and lids comprising an adjustable storage rack constructed with a stand and a base member mounted to the stand. A plurality of wire members are mounted on clamp members which are mounted on rails secured to the base member. The clamp member can be slidably positioned on the rails prior to the securing of them in a fixed position on the rails and extending upward from the base member. A plurality of wire members have sleeve assemblies forming the upright supports, the sleeve assemblies providing height adjustment of the wire member. A spring biased handle is mounted to the base member and is biased to return to its original position after the handle is released.

Abstract: An apparatus assembly for forming a compound dessert in a predetermined compound ring shape including a first outer ring shaped pan defining a cavity, the cavity having a dome shaped cross section with a closed circular end, an open end and a centrally positioned funnel shaped support having an upper solid planar surface. A cover including a second dome ring shaped pan of a smaller width and depth and a surrounding circular skirt is mounted to the outer ring shaped pan with the second inner ring shaped pan extending into a cavity of the first outer ring shaped pan.

Abstract: A cooking pan assembly for forming a compound log shaped dessert having a central longitudinal cavity constructed with a semi-cylindrical circular base pan defining a cavity. A planar flange extends outward from the sidewalls of the base pan to support a cover member which is mounted to the base pan. The cover member is mounted on end a sleeve mounted on one end of the base pan and defines a plurality of apertures therein. An insert member with circular end sections connected by a longitudinal section having a designated cross section configuration is mounted in the cavity of the cooking pan assembly so that cake baked in the pan assembly is formed with a center cavity having a specific decorative shape.
