Abstract: An automatic piloting device for aerodynes uses at least one digital computer receiving information from a set of sensors, and controlling actuators acting on the flight control surfaces, the computer comprising at least one autonomous computing module having hardware and software resources capable of piloting according to any one of the three piloting axes, the module having a means for becoming specific to a given axis from among the piloting axes, and a connection means for connection to the sensors and actuators corresponding to said given axis. It applies notably to the automatic piloting of a helicopter.
