  • Patent number: 10252208
Abstract: A filter element for filtering a fluid is provided with a filter bellows made of a filter medium folded along fold edges in a zigzag shape to form folds, wherein the folds extend between oppositely positioned end face edges of the filter bellows. The filter bellows defines a raw side and a clean side of the filter element, wherein a fluid to be filtered flows from the raw side to the clean side. The filter medium has faces that are flowed through by the fluid to be filtered. The filter medium is provided at least on one of the faces that are flowed through with beads extending transversely to the fold edges. In a proper operating state of the filter bellows, the beads effect a flow of at least a portion of the fluid to be filtered in a direction perpendicular to the fold edges.

  • Publication number: 20160003115
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter medium (10) for the filtration of a fluid in an intended throughflow direction (16) from an inlet side (30) to an outlet side (32), which has at least one first medium layer (12) and at least one second, planar medium layer (14) as a support and drainage layer. The second medium layer (14) is arranged downstream of the first medium layer (12) in the throughflow direction (16). A retention capacity of the second medium layer (14) as a whole with respect to particles in the fluid that passes through the first medium layer (16) is less than the retention capacity in the first medium layer (12).The invention further relates to a filter element (50), which includes such a filter medium (10) as well as a method for producing such a filter medium (10).

  • Patent number: 9168470
Abstract: A filter element (32) and a filter device (10). The filter element (32) can be arranged in a filter housing (16) of the filter device. The filter element (32) has an annular closed filter medium (34) connected with at least at one end face with an end member (36, 38). An annular anti-drain membrane (44) opens and closes at least one fluid opening (26) of the filter housing (16) and is arranged on the side of the at least one end member (38) that is facing away from the filter element (34). The surface of the contact section (60) of the anti-drain membrane (44) has at least one relief-like adhesion disturbance area (64) for disturbing an adhesion of the anti-drain membrane (44) to the contact section (60).

  • Publication number: 20120217196
Abstract: The invention describes an exchangeable filter element (14) for upright installation in a filter system (10) for liquids, in particular oil, fuel or water, in particular of a motor vehicle, a receptacle (18), which is fixed with respect to the system, of the filter system (10), and the filter system (10). The exchangeable filter element (14) comprises a filter housing (46) with an end wall (50, 52) to which a central connecting piece (16) is fastened. An encircling annular seal (90) is designed such that, when the exchangeable filter element (14) is installed, said annular seal closes off an aeration and/or deaeration duct (44) of the receptacle (18), which is fixed with respect to the system, for the connecting piece (16).
