Abstract: A device for treating a substrate (12) includes a conveying device (13) for loading and unloading substrates or masks (10, 10?, 10?, 10??) into and from a process chamber (1) through loading openings (6, 7). A shielding plate (11), used to shield the substrate (12) or the mask (10) from the influence of heat is moved between a shielding position and a storage position during the substrate treatment and, after the substrate (12) is treated, from the storage position back into the shielding position. In the storage position, the shielding plate (11) is situated inside a storage chamber (2, 3).

Abstract: To postform the region of transition between the initial part and the end part of a section piece forming a closed frame and applied to window glass (1) by extrusion, use is made of a mould (14) which pivots about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the extruded section piece and which is situated in the region of the surface of the window glass (1). The axis of pivoting of the mould (14) coincides with the cutting ridge (15) of a protrusion (16) which limits the calibrated cavity of the mould (14) on the internal face of the extruded section piece. As the mould (14) pivots, the excess polymer material is pushed back in the direction of the periphery of the window glass and beyond this periphery.

Abstract: This invention is related to a method for shaping profile an extrudable plastic material attached to a surface. In the process, a die being part of a cylinder and having a shape corresponding to the desired cross-section of the profile is introduced into the plastic material and is then extracted therefrom by rolling the cylinder. The invention is also related to a device for carrying out the process.

Abstract: A device for breaking off edge strips from a blank, within which model glass sheets of present shape are scratched. The breaking off edge operation takes place with the aid of pressure pins, placed on a carrier plate arranged parallel to glass sheets. The pressure pins are adapted to be lowered onto the edge strips which are to be broken off. The plurality of pressure pins are located on the carrier plate in a broad arrangement covering various sizes and shapes of the glass sheets. Each individual pressure pin, independently of the neighboring pressure pins can be moved from its retracted rest position into its lowered working position as a function of the shape and size of the respective glass sheet. The pressure pins may be operated by pneumatic cylinders controlled in accordance with a program allocated in each case to the glass sheet to be processed. The invention permits control of a breaking off device for molded glass sheets according to a preset program.
