  • Patent number: 11326640
Abstract: A fastening element (10) comprising a screw (1) with a screw head (11) and a sleeve-shaped rivet arrangement (2) through which the screw (1) passes. Starting from the screw head, the rivet arrangement (2) has an installation spacer region (21), a deformation region (22) and a drive region (23) into which the screw is screwed. Seen from the drive region (23) to the screw head, the circumferential boundaries of the drive region (23) lie within the boundaries of the deformation region (22), the boundaries of the installation spacer region (21) protrude radially over the boundaries of the deformation region (22), and the boundaries of the screw head protrude radially over the boundaries of the installation spacer region (21). The installation spacer region (21) and the deformation region (22) are designed in such a manner that, as the screw is tightened, first of all plastic deformation of the deformation region (22) occurs.

  • Publication number: 20220090622
Abstract: A fastener arrangement (100) for establishing a screw-connection comprising a main body (1) with a central axis (10) having a head (11) and a shaft (12) protruding from the lower side of the head in direction of the central axis (10), and having at its end facing away from the head (10) a thread (13), a driving element (2) penetrated by the shaft (12) and abutting with an upper end against the lower side of the head (11), wherein the driving element (2) positively engages with the main body (1) in a rotational direction around the central axis (10) in screw-in direction of the thread (13). The positive engagement between the main body (1) and the driving element (2) is designed such that if a first shaft section (121) of the main body (1) that penetrates the driving element (2) lengthens to a certain extent in the indented use of the fastener arrangement (100), the positive engagement is released.

  • Patent number: 10960920
Abstract: A device for operating a steering system having at least one electrically operable actuator includes at least one carrier substrate on which a first electronics system and a second electronics system, which is at least partially redundant thereto, is arranged for operating the actuator. The at least one carrier substrate is sealed in a fluid-tight manner, at least in regions, by a protective coating. The first electronics system is sealed at least substantially by the protective coating, and the second electronics system is at least partially free of the protective coating.

  • Patent number: 10590980
Abstract: In order to further develop a blind rivet element (5) comprising a head (51), an adjoining hollow shaft (53), the outer side of which has an outer diameter smaller than the head (51), and an internal thread (54) provided inside the shaft (53) and having an axial separation from the head (51), in such a way that when installed the blind rivet element (5) always forms a controlled deformation, in particular in the form of a bulge, at the same specifiable location, it is proposed that the shaft (53) is provided with a radially outwardly protruding adjustment contour (55) in the region of the head (51), that the shaft (53) has a curvature (57) formed in the radial direction and that said curvature (57) is arranged between the adjustment contour (55) and the internal thread (54).

  • Patent number: 10435073
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for operating a steering system of a motor vehicle having a power steering system. A support torque is introduced into a steering transmission. A driving situation is determined. The support torque is reduced depending on the driving situation.

  • Publication number: 20180372144
Abstract: A fastening element (10) for producing a blind rivet connection between components, comprising a screw (1) with a screw head (11) and a sleeve-shaped rivet arrangement (2) through which the screw (1) passes. Starting from the screw head, the rivet arrangement (2) has consecutively an installation spacer region (21), a deformation region (22) and a drive region (23) into which the screw is screwed. As seen from the drive region (23) to the screw head, the circumferential boundaries of the drive region (23) lie within the circumferential boundaries of the deformation region (22), the circumferential boundaries of the installation spacer region (21) protrude radially over the circumferential boundaries of the deformation region (22), and the circumferential boundaries of the screw head protrude radially over the circumferential boundaries of the installation spacer region (21).
