Abstract: An apparatus for processing pharmaceutical containers, in particular vials, syringes or carpules, and a filling device for filling pharmaceutical containers. The apparatus includes a frame that can be positioned on a set-down surface and has a surface, a first side and a second side, a processing station, and a transport device arranged between the first side and the second side, with circulating holding elements for the containers which move along a transport direction on a transport segment and counter to the transport direction on a return segment. The processing station is arranged at the transport segment, and the transport segment and the return segment are arranged above the surface. The transport plane is inclined by an angle of inclination relative to a plane of the surface and/or a horizontal plane, and the transport segment is arranged above the return segment in the direction of gravity.

The apparatus includes a feed unit with a feed path in which closure elements can be fed separately without contacting the first face; a receiving body with a receptacle for the closure element, the closure element being transferrable from the feed path into a receiving position in the receptacle; and a device for turning the receiving body from an initial position into an end position and transferring the closure element from the receiving position into a placed position in which the closure element is positioned on the container or at a distance to the container such that the first face points in the direction of the container interior.

A processing station includes a filling station arranged at the transport device for filling the containers with a pharmaceutical substance. A coupling element transfers the containers to the transport device, and a decoupling element receives the containers from the transport device. A first feed unit provides containers of a first type to be filled, and a second feed unit feeds containers of a second type to be filled. An interface element is arrangeable on the feed side with respect to the transport device. Containers of the first type or the second type can be selectively fed directly or indirectly to the transport device.
