  • Publication number: 20200158534
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a procedure for handling exceptional conditions of a measurement system. The procedure includes steps of detecting at least one measured value, wherein the measured value represents a value derived from a measurand, and digitizing the measured value. The procedure also includes steps of creating a data structure, wherein the data structure comprises at least the measured value as an element, and adding at least one error code list comprising at least one error code to the data structure if the measurement system or the measured value has an exceptional condition. The error code is specific to the exceptional condition of the measurement system or to the measured value. The present disclosure further relates to a measurement system for carrying out the procedure.

  • Patent number: 9502887
Abstract: A measuring system having at least one field device with at least one display apparatus, wherein the display apparatus is embodied for displaying data, information and diagnostic reports of the field device, wherein the field device is supplied with voltage via a voltage input. A monitoring system is provided, which monitors the voltage at the voltage input and recognizes a voltage reduction, and the field device is embodied to execute a service program, which performs steps to shut down the field device in the case of a detected voltage reduction, characterized in that the service program is embodied, in the case of a detected voltage reduction, to show on the display apparatus a diagnostic report, which describes the state of the field device. The invention relates further to a method for operating the measuring system.

  • Patent number: 9276996
Abstract: An apparatus for servicing a field device from a remote terminal, wherein the field device has an onsite display/servicing capability and is connected to a fieldbus of process automation technology. The remote terminal and the field device communicate with one another via at least one defined transmission protocol. A web server is integrated in the field device, in a Plant Access Point or in the remote terminal; the web server provides all requested device information, which is the so called firmware, of the field device in the form of dynamically produced contents to the remote terminal. A communication driver specific to the applied transmission protocol and a browser are integrated in the remote terminal.

  • Publication number: 20130030748
Abstract: A method for determining a dosed, or metered, volume of an automatic peristaltic sample taker, in the case of which a measured, dosed, or metered, volume of the peristaltic sample taker is corrected by means of a calibration map. In order to improve accuracy in the determining of the dosed, or metered, volume, during a calibration phase, the calibration map is corrected by means of a correction curve, which depends on a negative pressure arising in the suction region of the peristaltic sample taker.
