  • Patent number: 11401881
Abstract: A diagnostic tool diagnoses a charge cycle behavior of an internal combustion engine with a plurality of cylinders. The diagnostic tool ascertains a rotational speed profile of the internal combustion engine. From the determined rotational speed curve, the diagnostic tool ascertains a peculiarity of at least one charge exchange characteristic variable by performing a Fourier transform. The diagnostic tool assigns a deviation type to the rotational speed profile as a function of the ascertained peculiarity of the charge exchange characteristic variable.

  • Publication number: 20220131307
Abstract: An electrical plug includes a plug housing having a first plug housing section with a longitudinal axis and a friction brake device including a friction brake part arranged on an outer face of the first plug housing section. The friction brake part is exposed towards an outside in a radial direction to the longitudinal axis. The friction brake device provides a friction braking azimuthally around the longitudinal axis below a set torque threshold value for the electrical plug.

  • Publication number: 20220082058
Abstract: A device for a fuel system that makes a fuel available for an operation of an internal-combustion engine where the fuel system includes a fuel pump which conveys the fuel into a fuel accumulator and includes one or more injection nozzles which convey the fuel from the fuel accumulator to a working mixture of one or more cylinders of the internal-combustion engine includes an evaluation unit. The evaluation unit is configured to ascertain pressure data with respect to a physical pressure in the fuel accumulator during an operation of the fuel system at a sampling-time, ascertain a change in a reference pressure at the sampling-time with aid of a reference model of the fuel system, and detect a defect of the fuel system on a basis of the pressure data and on a basis of the change in the reference pressure.

  • Publication number: 20210380110
Abstract: A method for reproducing an error that occurs during the driving operation of a vehicle is provided. The vehicle is fixed in position in order to prevent movement relative to a reference surface on which the vehicle is located. A speed profile provided by an engine analyzer is read into a control device of the vehicle and is converted by the control device into a load profile. Subsequently, with the brake activated, the control device in the vehicle automatically runs through the speed profile, the device having converted the speed profile into at least one control parameter of the engine and/or the transmission over time in order to simulate the load profile, when the vehicle is under load as a result of the activation of the brake.

  • Patent number: 10997804
Abstract: A method and diagnostic tool diagnoses a charge cycle behavior of an internal combustion engine with a plurality of cylinders. The method determines a diagnosis time window within a torque dropout of one of the cycles of the internal combustion engine, and associates a deviation type with the diagnosis time window determined.
