    Abstract: Valve gravity-controlled in dependence upon the current flight attitude of an aircraft, which includes an outer valve housing a plurality of equally spaced conduit connectors for the inlet of a flowing medium. A collector chamber is located between the outer valve and an inner valve housing of the valve, the collector chamber communicating with an outlet for the medium. Spring loaded valve members are associated with each inlet conduit connector of which at least one establishes communication between the respective inlet connector and the collector chamber under the gravity-controlled action of a ball arranged in the inner valve housing.

    Abstract: An apparatus for ventilating a liquid tank in which ventilation pipes are arranged so that the orifice of at least one ventilation pipe is above the liquid level and the orifice of at least one ventilation pipe is below the liquid level. The remaining ends of the ventilation pipes connected to separate chambers which are sealed off from the tank interior. These chambers are associated with a rotary slide valve which can be controlled by the flight attitude. The control slots of this valve are staggered (offset) in such a way that with simultaneous free flow passage via at least one ventilation pipe located above the liquid level, flow passage via at least one ventilation pipe located below the liquid level is blocked.

    Abstract: A method for the determination of the axial thrust of roller bearings under extreme operating conditions, which includes determining the variation in the rotational speed of the bearing cage, and employing the obtained value as a measure for calculating the axial thrust. The method employs sensors, such as strain gauge strips, applied to a stationary portion of the bearing to obtain the cage rotational speed through the dynamic deflection of a bearing weak point formed in that portion of the bearing.

    Abstract: Arrangement for determining cage rotational speed and bearing slippage for roller bearings by sensors mounted on a weakened location formed in a stationary component of the bearing during operation of the latter. The sensors measure the frequency of the dynamic deflection at the weakened location on the bearing caused by the bearing roll bodies rolling over the location, which can be calculated and analyzed to provide the required results.
