The method includes: forming a font space in which various fonts are characterized by dimensions of the font space; selecting a starting point in the font space, wherein an associated starting font belongs to the starting point; continuously changing the position in the font space and thereby changing a font used for display in order to find an optimum for at least one parameter value; and providing the optimized fonts for display on the screen.
