  • Publication number: 20230046025
Abstract: In a gantry for a computed tomography device, a rotary frame is arranged on the tilt frame so that the rotary frame rotates relative to the tilt frame about an axis of rotation. The tilt frame is arranged on the support frame so that the tilt frame tilts about a tilt axis relative to the support frame, such that a tilt angle of the tilt frame relative to the support frame is changeable by a tilting movement of the tilt frame relative to the support frame about the tilt axis. The proximity switch has a proximity sensor and a reference mark, which interacts with the proximity sensor. The proximity switch is also coupled to the support frame and to the tilt frame such that the proximity switch is configured to react to an approach of the tilt angle to a reference angle.

  • Publication number: 20230007811
Abstract: A gantry for a computed tomography device has a support structure, a pivot bearing, a rotating frame, a first braking resistor configured to electromotively brake a rotational movement of the rotating frame, and a heat conductor configured to dissipate heat from the first braking resistor. A heat conductor and a pressure duct wall are interconnected to form a heat-conductor-to-pressure-duct-wall connection that is detachable, form-fitting, planar, and thermally conductive. The heat is transferrable from the first braking resistor to the airflow via the heat conductor, the heat-conductor-to-pressure-duct-wall connection and the pressure duct wall.

  • Patent number: 11255801
Abstract: A method is for correcting an imbalance in a computed tomography system, in which a supporting structure includes a radiation source is fitted on a fixed mounting frame. The supporting structure rotates together with the radiation source about a measurement space, in which is fixed in place a measurement object having a known attenuation response for the radiation emitted by the radiation source. The method includes detecting first measurement data of the radiation while the supporting structure rotates about the measurement object, determining an imbalance arising during the rotation of the supporting structure on the basis of the acquired first measurement data of the radiation, and determining a position and a weight of at least one counterweight on the supporting structure in order to reduce the determined imbalance, or determining correction data, which is used to correct the imbalance in software.
