  • Patent number: 11485721
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the metal-free preparation of a biaryl compound by a photosplicing reaction and its use in the preparation of chemical compounds, preferably of active ingredients e.g. in the fields of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. In particular, it refers to a method for the regiocontrolled preparation of a biaryl compound of formula (I): Ar—Ar? by photochemically reacting a precursor compound of formula (II): Ar—L—Ar? to form a biaryl compound of general formula: Ar—L—Ar?(II)?Ar—Ar? (I) wherein Ar and Ar?, independently of each other, represent an unsubstituted or substituted C6-C20 aryl group or a heteroaryl group with 5-20 ring atoms selected from carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur, and L represents a group —X—Y—Z— as defined herein. The biaryl compounds are generally suitable as intermediates or key building blocks in a very broad spectrum of organic chemical syntheses and their respective utilities.

  • Patent number: 8862382
Abstract: A method for collision monitoring for a motor vehicle, in which a surrounding area is monitored, including: providing a reference state for at least one first object situated in the surrounding area, as reference object in a first stop operation, the reference state including reference position data of the at least one first object; in a second stop operation, determining whether the motor vehicle has traveled a predefined minimum distance between the first and second stop operations, and/or whether a predefined minimum time has elapsed; if it is determined that the motor vehicle has traveled a distance that is greater than the predefined minimum distance between the first and second stop operations, and/or that a time that is greater than the predefined minimum time has elapsed, the reference state is updated with position data of at least one second object situated in the surrounding area, as reference object; if subsequent drive-off is intended, determining actual position data of the at least one second o

  • Patent number: 8760962
Abstract: A method for adjusting the sensitivity of ultrasonic sensors for detecting the distance of objects from a vehicle. A sensor sensitivity is set selected so that a sonic lobe is transmitted which has an intersection with the ground. A measurement is determined using the sensor, objects in the surroundings of the vehicle having a greater distance from the vehicle than the distance from the sensor to the intersection of the sonic lobe with the ground, so the distance from the sensor to the intersection of the lobe with the ground is detected as being the shortest distance from an object. The sensitivity of the sensor is set as a function of the distance between the sensor and the intersection of the lobe with the ground, so after sensitivity is set, the lobe, at its point closest to the ground, does not fall below a specified distance from the ground.

  • Patent number: 8543325
Abstract: A method for collision monitoring for a motor vehicle, a predefined surrounding area being monitored. The method includes the steps of providing information on the position and direction of motion of at least one object located in the surrounding area, providing vehicle information which indicates at least one position of a vehicle component and/or a driver's intended driving direction, designating an object if it is ascertained based on the vehicle information that the object does not pose any collision risk for the motor vehicle, and signalizing a collision risk if it is recognized based on the information on position and direction of motion that a not-designated object is approaching the motor vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20130033371
Abstract: A method for warning of an object in the surroundings of a vehicle. The method includes the following steps of detecting a position of the object in a detection region in the surroundings of the vehicle, the detection region being a region in the surroundings of the vehicle and being adjacent to a driving track region of the vehicle, the driving track region being a region through which the vehicle will drive, in particular within a predetermined time span, determining a motion of the object on the basis of multiple detected positions of the object, and signaling when a determination is made that the object in the detection region is moving.
