  • Patent number: 12199531
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor control device for controlling a motor current, with a predictive deadbeat control unit configured to, based on a motor current error input signal, use a model predictive control scheme for providing an output signal for controlling the motor current according to a deadbeat control scheme, where the deadbeat control scheme is characterized by minimizing the motor current error input signal within a preset time period; an interface unit configured to allow adjusting the preset time period by a user input; and an integrator unit configured to, based on the motor current error input signal, provide an integrator output that is added to the output signal for controlling the motor current with controlling a motor current, with the advantages of a predictive deadbeat control scheme while avoiding the problems present in the conventional predictive deadbeat approaches. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.

  • Publication number: 20240388163
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a motor device with a motor unit and a servo drive unit configured to be attached to the motor unit, where motor unit and servo drive unit are configured to be electrically coupled via a plug connection with one or more plugs, with a preset plug direction (P) of the plug connection running parallel to a motor shaft of the motor unit; where the motor unit and the servo drive unit are configured to be aligned, in an attached state of motor unit and servo drive unit, by means of an aligning contour; and with an encoder system for providing information on the position of the motor shaft with i) an encoder target which is fixed to the motor shaft of the motor unit as part of the motor unit and with ii) an encoder read head which is a part of the servo drive unit; where the encoder target is part of the motor unit both in the attached state of motor unit and servo drive unit and in an unattached state of motor unit and servo drive unit, and the encoder read head is part of the servo drive

  • Publication number: 20240388173
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an integrated motor device with a motor unit and a servo drive unit attached to the motor unit, where the servo drive unit comprises a first printed circuit board with one or more power converting inverter elements; where the servo drive unit comprises at least an encoder read head of an encoder system configured for providing information on a position of a motor shaft of the motor unit; and the first printed circuit board is closer to a body of the motor unit than the encoder read head so as to reduce or overcome the problem of thermal derating in the integrated motor device.

  • Patent number: 10605081
Abstract: A free piston apparatus includes a piston receptacle in which a piston device having a piston is linearly reciprocable. The piston receptacle includes or forms a combustion chamber delimited by a wall arrangement forming a first opening and a second opening. The openings include an inlet opening for the supply of fresh gas and an outlet opening for the removal of exhaust gas for a uniflow scavenging of the combustion chamber. Movement of the piston device is controllable by a control device. The bottom dead center of the piston can be adjustable such that when the piston adopts the bottom dead center, the first opening is partially unblocked and partially blocked for adjusting a free cross sectional area of the first opening. An opening duration can also be adjustable. A method for operating a free piston apparatus includes controlling movement of a piston device with a control device.
