    Abstract: A gateway for connection to a closed network of a railroad technical system has a network adapter for establishing a network connection to an external network. A video signal adapter can establish a video signal connection to the railroad technical system, and/or a device signal adapter can establish a device signal connection to the railroad technical system. At least one conversion facility is connected to both the network adapter and the video signal transmitter and/or the device signal adapter and converts the video or device signal connection data of the railroad technical system into external network data. The gateway thus provides particularly secure access to the closed network of the railroad technical system. There is also described a method for operating a gateway for connection to a closed network of a railroad technical system.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an ultrasonic surgical instrument with a support structure (20), and with an ultrasonic transducer (17) suspended on the support structure (20). A sonotrode (16) is connected to the ultrasonic transducer (17). The support structure (20) comprises a jacket portion (24) that extends around an inner space. According to the invention, the ultrasonic transducer (17) is suspended on a retaining ring (21), which is arranged in a continuation of the jacket portion (24) and which is connected to the jacket portion (24) via a connecting section (23). The connecting portion (24) has a plurality of apertures (26, 27) which in total cover the whole circumference of the connecting portion (24). The invention has the advantage that the instrument is uncoupled from the oscillations of the ultrasonic transducer.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a sonotrode for an ultrasonic surgical instrument. The sonotrode comprises a shaft and an instrument head, which is located at a distal end of the shaft. A removal structure is arranged on the instrument head. A channel extends inside the shaft from an outlet opening on the instrument head to a channel opening. According to the invention, the channel opening is arranged in the circumferential surface of the sonotrode. Provision is additionally made that, in the area of the channel opening, an attachment part with a liquid connection is provided. By virtue of an attachment part being provided in the area of the channel opening, a rinse hose can be connected directly to the liquid connection of the attachment part, such that the hand part no longer comes into contact with the rinsing liquid. The cleaning work is thereby reduced.

A control module is provided in which an output value of the first signal generator and an output value of the second signal generator are combined to form an aggregate output value, and which determines whether the aggregate output value exceeds a predetermined threshold value. A method for operating such an electrosurgical device ensures that the patient is not inadvertently treated with an excessively high electrical output.
