Abstract: A streaming application setup assistant may receive an image captured by a camera, the image capturing a physical environment that is to be part of a live video stream. A plurality of pixels may be selected from the image. The plurality of pixels may be grouped, based on a pixel color value for each pixel, into a plurality of pixel groups. A key pixel color value may be calculated that is associated with an average pixel color value of pixels in a largest pixel group of the plurality of pixel groups. A similarity color range that encompasses a threshold percentage of the pixels in the largest pixel group may be identified based on the key pixel color value. The similarity color range may be utilized to configure settings for replacement of the background in the live video stream.

Abstract: A conferencing system integrates multiple conference types into a mixed mode conference. The mixed mode conference may integrate text messaging (such as instant messaging) conferences, voice conferences, and other types of conferences. The conferencing system may enhance communication possibilities by allowing individuals that cannot participate in one type of conference to nevertheless communicate with others engaged in that type of conference.

A method for providing a conferencing session may include receiving inputs from a number of participants in a conferencing session. A number of prominent inputs are determined from the received inputs and the determined prominent inputs are combined into a first output stream. The output stream is suitable for being sent to at least one participant of the number of participants in the conferencing session.

Abstract: A telecommunications system includes a conferencing server (104, 106), a recording server (114) operably coupled to the conferencing server; and one or more telecommunications clients (110). The telecommunications clients (110) can use the conferencing server to supervise conversations between two or more of the parties. The recording server (114) is used to record conversations among the parties and store them as one or more digital files. The telecommunications clients (110) may further be provided with user interfaces (112) that allow control of the recording server (114) for real-time playback during a conversation. The user interface allows the user to control backup; normal speed forward; fast forward; back to beginning; and go to end (i.e., back to real-time output for the call).
