Abstract: A release liner that can be produced in a few method steps (e.g., a coextrusion step), exhibits very good interlaminate adhesion, and has little tendency to deform and deviate from planarity. The release liner is for use on pressure-sensitive adhesives and comprises: a layer system (POL) comprising one or more layers and comprising in each layer, based in each case on the total weight of the layer, a total of at least 80% by weight of one or more polyolefins, where each layer of the layer system (POL) comprises polypropylene; at least one layer (PEL) comprising, based on the total weight of the layer (PEL), at least 80% by weight of polyethylene; and an anchoring layer that connects each layer (PEL) to the layer system (POL).
