  • Publication number: 20260048621
Abstract: A first and second acceleration measuring devices are mounted on a rigid vehicle structure spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal and transverse direction of the vehicle. A first or second inclination variable is determined by the acceleration measuring devices and characterizes a longitudinal or transverse inclination of the vehicle structure relative to a predetermined horizontal plane in a first or second reference point assigned to the respective acceleration measuring device. Components of the first or second inclination variable during the journey of the vehicle are eliminated by an evaluation unit on the basis of a coincidence resulting from the travel speed of the vehicle and a direction-of-travel-related distance between the two reference points, to conclude, based on a remaining invariant component of the first or second inclination variable, that there is a loss of pressure in one of the tires.

  • Patent number: 11027581
Abstract: A system for influencing a vehicle position when travelling along a subsurface includes a vehicle structure including left and right wheels, a tire inflation system for the supply of the corresponding tires of each individual wheel with a specified tire inflation pressure, and a sensor device for determining a transverse tilt of the vehicle structure with respect to the travelled subsurface. The sensor device is configured to provide a transverse tilt magnitude that reflects the determined transverse tilt and operably communicates it to a control unit. The control unit operably adapts the tire inflation pressure specified for the left and right wheels by controlling the tire inflation system in accordance with the transverse tilt magnitude in such a way that the vehicle structure is tilted in the sense of a reduction of the determined transverse tilt with respect to the travelled subsurface.

  • Patent number: 10562358
Abstract: A device for tire pressure monitoring of a vehicle tire of a vehicle system includes a tire inflation system in communication with the vehicle tire. A control unit calculates a set pressure value to be maintained for the tire pressure. A storage unit is in communication with the control unit such that the control unit adjusts the calculated set pressure value in dependence on an operating state classification derived from operating state parameters of the vehicle system. The control unit determines a geoposition of the vehicle system correlating with the derived operating state classification and stores it with the operating state classification in the storage unit. The control unit further recalls from the storage unit the relevant operating state classification for purposes of anticipatory adjustment of the set pressure value of the tire pressure when a renewed approach of the vehicle system to the stored geoposition is detected.
