    Abstract: A battery pack for a traction battery of a motor vehicle. The battery pack has a multiplicity of battery embedded in a foam body having regions of different stiffnesses. The deformation foam, on a side of the battery pack on which outermost battery cells are offset outwardly or inwardly relative to one another, outwardly covers respective outwardly offset battery cells on a shortest straight line from a center axis of the respective battery cells toward the side of the battery pack.
