  • Patent number: 10812338
Abstract: A computer system comprising a database, a computer-implemented method, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon a computer executable program code for customization of computer systems are disclosed herein. The customizations dimensions have context values being used as coordinates in a multidimensional customization space. The computer systems are customized using global customization specifications and differential customization specifications. In each customization procedure, either global customization specifications or differential customization specification assigned to one of the nodes of the selected tree fragment is used. The sequence of customization procedures can follow parent-child relationships of nodes of the selected tree fragment.

  • Publication number: 20150046286
Abstract: A holistic process is presented that may define a mature definition and management of product content over the entire lifecycle of the product. Product features may be used to describe business or technical details provided by functions for different releases of the product. The product features may be used to manage different product content types and provide links to additional information managed in various storage locations. The product features may be used to provide both transparency about the capabilities of the software product at a detailed level and a systematic way of documenting the relationship between the product features and related product content types such product documentation.

  • Patent number: 8850390
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for providing status management for phased implementation of configuration changes. One process includes operations for receiving a selection for a modular software solution and identifying a partial implementation of the modular software solution comprising a subset of the plurality of model entities included in the modular software solution. After the model entities in the subset are activated, a particular model entity is identified to add to the partial implementation. A temporary phase-in state is assigned to the particular model entity, the temporary phase-in state providing an indication to at least one configuration service to perform at least one pre-activation task for the particular model entity. The particular model entity is activated after the pre-activation task is completed.

  • Publication number: 20100153150
Abstract: This disclosure provides various embodiments of systems, software, and computerized methods for generating a business adaptation catalog model. In one aspect, the software identifies one of a plurality of solutions associated with a particular application, and identifies a business adaptation catalog associated with the identified solution. The software then retrieves information from the business adaptation catalog defining a set of business elements, and generates a business adaptation catalog model illustrating the one or more business elements. Further, the business adaptation catalog can comprise a data structure defining the hierarchical relationships between the set of business elements and a set of constraints defining at least one relationship between at least two of the set of business elements.

  • Publication number: 20100153149
Abstract: This disclosure provides various embodiments of systems, software, and computerized methods for generating one or more business adaptation constraints. In one aspect, the software identifies at least one business option associated with a business adaptation catalog, and then identifies at least one variable application entity in an application mapped to the at least one identified business option. The software determines one or more application integrity constraints associated with the at least one identified variable application entity, and computes one or more business adaptation catalog constraints associated with the at least one identified business option based on the one or more determined application integrity constraints associated with the at least one identified variable application entity. The software then inserts the one or more computed business adaptation catalog constraints associated with the at least one identified business option into the business adaptation catalog.
