  • Patent number: 12048062
Abstract: A service discovery method for activating an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) device includes: initiating a device comprising an eSIM; and connecting the device to at least one of an entry point of a mobile network operator and a designated entitlement configuration server, using an entitlement configuration for automatically activating the eSIM via the connection to the entitlement configuration server and connecting the eSIM with a data service or a data network of the mobile network operator based on an entitlement of designated use-cases. The device and the entitlement configuration server validate parameters and/or methodologies for the entitlement configuration. The device requests the entitlement configuration server to provide supported parameters for a designated use-case and compares the response returned by the entitlement configuration server with its own supported parameters for the designated use-case.

  • Patent number: 10559959
Abstract: A multi-generator power plant arrangement, energy supply network having a multi-generator power plant arrangement and method for distributing reactive power generation in a multi-generator power plant arrangement, is provided. A multi-generator power plant arrangement, and also a method for distributing reactive power generation in a multi-generator power plant arrangement, is provided. The control parameters for the controllers of the individual generators of a multi-generator power plant arrangement are thereby calculated individually on the basis of predetermined parameters and transmitted to the controllers of the individual generators. Consequently, the reactive power component to be generated in each case can be individually specified for each generator of a multi-generator power plant arrangement.

  • Patent number: 10298021
Abstract: A power balance-dependent operating parameter and a surroundings parameter of a first energy source, such as a renewable energy source, are provided. A variable target operating parameter for the first energy source is ascertained dependent on the detected surroundings parameter. The target operating parameter can characterize a first energy source state in which a maximally possible output would be generated under the current given conditions of the surroundings. The operating frequency is then controlled dependent on the detected power balance dependent operating parameter and the ascertained target operating parameter such that a deviation of the operating frequency from a specified frequency is coupled to a deviation of the detected power balance-dependent operating parameter from the ascertained target operating parameter.

  • Patent number: 9751088
Abstract: The rotational speed of the drum of an ore mill may be controlled variably over time. By rotating the drum during a first time interval at high speed, especially hard or dense particles are broken up by tumbling. At the same time, the discharge characteristics of the mill are adversely affected. In a subsequent second time interval, the drum is rotated at a slower speed, and the material is discharged more effectively, whereas the tumbling movement inside the mill is not achieved. The combination of said different modes of operation within short time periods in continuous operation may improve both the comminution as a result of a tumbling motion of the material and also the discharge of the ground material. By regulating the rotational speed with different target values within short time windows, different requirements for the movement behavior of the material to be ground and for the discharge characteristics of the ground material can be simultaneously optimized.

  • Patent number: 9486809
Abstract: A method is disclosed for operating a mill at continuous input and output mass flows, and to the mill, wherein a process model based on power balance equations and mass balance equations is used. Characteristic process variables can be measured in a simple manner outside the mill. Characteristic process variables which are still not known can be ascertained by means of inserting the measured values into a respective power balance equation, assuming that the other process variables are in each case known or are insignificant. On this basis, the mill can be actuated in an optimum manner in order to provide a high output power.

  • Patent number: 9321054
Abstract: An assembly is provided for receiving characteristic data of a mill including a rotating mill sleeve having rotor coils and a stator having stator coils, wherein oscillations of the mill sleeve are transmitted to stator coils and/or measurement coils on the stator. The assembly may include stator coil(s) configured to tap power supply induction voltages to detect oscillations of the mill sleeve, wherein the stator coil(s) and/or measurement coil(s) designed to tap induction voltages are positioned in a sector of the mill sleeve in which large oscillations are expected based on the scale of the mill sleeve. Further, a method includes determining the induction voltage induced on stator coil(s) and/or measurement coil(s) by tapping at least one stator coil power supply and/or by tapping at least one measurement coil, and deriving status variable(s) of a milling method that reflect the fill level status in the sector of the respective coil.

  • Patent number: 9191754
Abstract: A classification and, in particular, a time stability thereof are intended to be improved. To this end, a method automatically sets a piece of equipment, in which a classifying is performed with an aid of movable clusters and fixed clusters. This allows the classification to be trained, but also allows a certain basic property of the system to be ensured. This is advantageous in particular for hearing aids and transformers in smart grids.

  • Publication number: 20150185749
Abstract: A method for operating a supply network with network units that provide or consume a resource. Cost functions of the network units are mapped onto local potentials of an undirected graph model. Marginalisation methods or optimisation methods such as belief propagation for stochastic interference minimise an overall cost function for controlling the network units. An accordingly operated supply network with network units is also described. The described method makes it possible, for example, to easily determine a usage plan for power plants as network units in an energy supply network. Condition estimates for networks are also made possible.

  • Patent number: 8976989
Abstract: A method operates a hearing apparatus in which an operating parameter of the hearing apparatus is determined and smoothed by a filter. The smoothing includes, for each input value, to classify the input value in accordance with its association with a plurality of predetermined classes and increase a counter assigned to the respective class which is associated with the input value. The counter with the greatest counter value is determined and the operating parameter value assigned to the counter with the greatest counter value is output as an output variable of the filter.

  • Patent number: 8566273
Abstract: A method, system, and computer software for information retrieval in semantic networks, has the steps of: acquiring a graph of interest, assuming a novel metric regarding the acquired graph, specifying a query node of interest on the obtained graph, calculating a shortest-path distance from the query node of interest to a plurality of other nodes on the acquired graph, obtaining a ranked list of nodes based on the calculated shortest-path distance, and displaying for a user the retrieved information.

  • Publication number: 20130153694
Abstract: A method is disclosed for controlling a mill system having at least one mill, e.g., an ore mill or cement mill, wherein electrical power is drawn from a power network to rotate at least one mill body for comminuting a material fed to the at least one mill body. One or more control variables of the mill system are regulated such that the power drawn from the power network corresponds to a predetermined setpoint power draw-off for the mill system. The method may provide control power in the power network for compensating for fluctuations in energy generation due to increased use of regenerative energies. The method may be used, e.g., to regulate high energy mill systems, e.g., tube mills, SAG mills, or ball mills, such that even relatively large quantities can be made available as control power in the power network.
