Abstract: A display tile includes a display board and a carrier board, the carrier board being for attachment to a frame or a bracket, the display board and the carrier board being fastened together by the intermediary of a spacer positioned between the display board and the carrier board. The spacer is glue or adhesive. The adhesive forms the spacer itself. The spacer can engage in an opening in the carrier board. The display board has image forming elements and the spacer is for setting a relative position of the tops of the image forming elements with respect to the carrier board.

Abstract: An LED array mounted on a circuit board including a plurality of LED chips embedded in an encapsulant. Each LED chip is placed inside a cavity which is made up solely from a multilayer foil and attached to the circuit board with an adhesive film. The foil cavity design enables a variety of mounted LED arrays to be manufactured with the same process.

Abstract: A tiled display that includes a plurality of display tiles including addressable solid state light elements adapted to display at least a part of a static image or video frame on a front side; a support structure for supporting the plurality of display tiles, where in an operation state each display tile has a first shape and where the first and second opposed edges of each of the plurality of display tiles are fixed to the support structure. In a maintenance state at least one of the plurality of display tiles is released from the support structure at at least the first edge and the at least one of the plurality of display tiles then having a second shape modified compared to the first shape and providing an opening between the first edge and the support structure.
