    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for collecting and storing non-blood genetic material from a sample in a subject by an individual comprising the steps of collecting the non-blood genetic material; transferring the non-blood genetic material to a dry solid support matrix contained on a storage card; sealing the storage card into a sample pouch; and storing the sealed sample pouch in a location designated by the individual or the subject. Also provided is a kit with which to collect non-blood genetic material.
