  • Patent number: 7244237
Abstract: A heated massage ball apparatus has a ball that may be heated retained within a grip that allows for the ball to rotate freely therewithin. The ball may be heated, for example, in a microwave oven, and may be substantially hollow and filled with a liquid that retains heat. The grip is pliable enough to allow the forced insertion or ejection of the ball past its widest circumference. An opening in the bottom of the base may facilitate the removal of the ball from the base, whereby the user inserts a finger therein to force the ball out of the grip. A heating base can accept the grip and ball and provide heat to the ball, such as a heated conductor that extends through the bottom opening in the grip and heats the ball by direct contact and thermal conduction. An electrical circuit may be included that provides on/off and temperature controls, a heating element, a temperature-sensing means, a thermostat, and a display for indicating a target and current ball temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20020068663
Abstract: A gyroscopic wrist exerciser having a rotor on a shaft having two shaft ends; a guide ring accepting shaft ends in diametrically spaced notches formed within the inner periphery of the rotor, a housing made of a plastic upper shell and a plastic lower shell. The upper shell has an upper stepped joint engagable with a lower stepped joint of a lower shell to form a stepped joint union that forms an internal circumferential groove upon the internal periphery of the housing and an external circumferential groove upon the external equatorial periphery of the housing. The internal circumferential groove receives a guide ring. A rubber annular grip has an inner protrusion that is smaller than the external circumferential groove to allow a clearance. The rubber annular grip protects a stepped joint union located along the internal circumferential groove and the external circumferential groove from external impact. The rubber annular grip protects a user's hand.

  • Patent number: 6138533
Abstract: A wrench apparatus includes a wrench head with a swivel adapter, a combination handle and extension bar attachable to the swivel adapter, and a ratchet head. The wrench head includes a tubular member with a longitudinal slot, and an internal C-shaped brace dividing the tubular member into two sockets at opposite ends thereof. One socket includes six sides and five points and the other socket includes twenty sides and ten points, so that both sockets can securely grip all six sides of a nut or bolt. The points of one socket are offset radially relative to the points on the other socket for providing smaller increments in repositioning freedom. The swivel adapter pivotally attached between a pair of ears on the wrench head by a removable pin, so that it can be removed and attached between a like pair of ears on the ratchet head.
