  • Publication number: 20250133644
Abstract: A system that selectively provides power to a speaker light is described. This system may include: the speaker light; a power supply that provides electrical power to the speaker light when the power supply is electrically coupled to an external power source; a relay electrically coupled to the power supply and electrically coupled to a switch; and the switch, where the switch has a first state in which the switch electrically couples the relay to the external power source and a second state in which the switch electrically decouples the relay from the external power source. Moreover, the speaker light may include a master speaker light in a speaker-light array with multiple speaker lights and associated power supplies, and the master speaker light may wirelessly configure and control operation of one or more remaining speaker lights in the speaker-light array.

  • Patent number: 11384931
Abstract: A combined lighting and speaker device having a central longitudinal axis defining a forward and a rearward direction and a radially outward and a radially inward direction is provided. The device comprises a tweeter; a tweeter horn positioned radially outwardly of the tweeter; a speaker positioned rearward of the tweeter horn; and a light emitting diode, LED, assembly positioned radially outwardly of the tweeter. The LED assembly comprises one or more light emitting diodes, LEDs, and a lens having a forward surface. The tweeter horn has an inner edge in communication with an outer edge of the tweeter, so that the tweeter horn forms a guide to direct sound produced by the tweeter away from the speaker when in use. At least part of the tweeter horn is provided by the forward surface of the lens.

  • Publication number: 20080201420
Abstract: A digital media frame is provided for display of digital media data, such as digital images. The digital media frame includes a data network interface for communications via a data network such as the Internet. The digital media frame is capable of communications using an instant messaging communications protocol, through which data such as digital images can be exchanged with other devices directly and immediately. The digital media frame can also be configured and/or controlled via a web portal by transmitting configuration or control data to the digital media frame using the instant messaging communications protocol.

  • Publication number: 20030106226
Abstract: An alignment device provides one or more references, such as laser lines and planes in horizontal and vertical orientations. One version of the alignment device includes an optics mounting assembly situated in a pivot socket on a frame to provide an output beam. A spring system and one or more alignment assemblies align and secure the optics mounting assembly in the socket. As a result, the output beam has a desired orientation with respect to true level. The spring system holds the optics mounting assembly in communication with the alignment assemblies to reduce system backlash. One implementation of the pivot socket has a surface in the form of a sphere's interior surface. A set of support members on the optics mounting assembly rest on the pivot socket's spherical surface—causing the output reference beam to extend from the center of a sphere including the socket's spherical surface.

  • Patent number: 5710815
Abstract: An encoding apparatus and an associated decoding apparatus for a television signal having embedded viewer access control data. A program category code is inserted into a television signal by the encoding apparatus, identifying at least one attribute of program content of an associated television program. An individual viewer may preclude receipt of television programming identified by a corresponding program category code as containing a program content attribute for which the individual viewer has chosen to preclude viewing. The decoding apparatus compares the program category code embedded within a television program with a user category code indicating at least one of the attributes of programming content for which the individual user has elected to preclude receipt of television programming. Viewing of the television signal is precluded when the television signal includes a program category code corresponding to the user category code.
