  • Patent number: 11888698
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product to manage a network comprising a plurality of interconnected components are described. The method includes obtaining a set of all the components that are part of the network over time, and identifying one or more repeating patterns of components among the set of all the components as corresponding lower-level definitions to generate a hierarchical set of all the components. The method also includes obtaining time-varying information regarding topology and operational values within the network, and creating a representation of the network at a set of times based on the hierarchical set of all the components and the time-varying information.

  • Patent number: 11620553
Abstract: A system for forecasting leaks in a fluid-delivery pipeline network. The system identifies a subsystem in the pipeline network that comprises a plurality of topologically connected stations. The system accesses historical temporal sensor measurements of a plurality of variables of the stations that are directly connected and generates a temporal causal dependency model for a first control variable at the first station in the subsystem, based on the plurality of time series of sensor measurements of a second variable of the first station, and temporal delay characteristics of the plurality of time series of sensor measurements of the second variable at the stations directly connected to the first station. The system automatically calculates a normal operating value of the first control variable at the first station and the deviations between actual measured values and the normal operating value and determines a threshold deviation that indicates a leak event.

  • Patent number: 10521525
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to improving a stochastic forecast for uncertain power generations and demands to quantify an effect on an electrical power grid. To improve the stochastic forecast, a method includes fitting marginal distributions to data of the uncertain power generation and demand by power generation and demand nodes of the electrical power grid. The power generation and demand nodes provide corresponding uncertain power generation and demand based on a renewable energy source. The method also includes determining a correlation structure between the power generation and demand nodes by transforming the data from marginal distributions to a second distribution and by fitting a multivariate time series on transformed data. The method also includes simulating multivariate stochastic forecast with an improved correlation structure.
