Abstract: A drawer or storage unit suspension system having a pair of horizontally spaced, elongated case channels supported by the underside of an enclosure; a pair of drawer rails supported for linear movement by bearings located between the drawer rails and the case channels; an upright drawer support edge on each drawer rail and an open slot at the forward end of each upright for the gravity support of a drawer having side projecting flanges and side lugs resting, respectively, on the upright support edge and the open slot.

Abstract: A cabinet construction is disclosed featuring the utilization of spring-biased hinge pins for removably mounting one or more doors for swinging movement between cabinet storage compartment closed and open positions in combination with a security device for normally preventing access to such hinge pins for door removal purposes. The invention additionally features a novel door/hinge assembly.

Abstract: A locking system for a drawer file cabinet is disclosed. The system includes a locking assembly which is easily installed, removed and replaced without major effort and without major modification to the cabinet. This capability is provided through a novel arrangement of a cam plate pivotally connected to an insertable plunger lock, an internal support bracket uniquely adapted to receive and support and otherwise cooperate with the cam plate and plunger lock, and a reciprocating lock bar permanently mounted within a structural element of the cabinet. With the arrangement provided, only the cam plate and plunger lock are required to convert a cabinet incapable of being locked to a lockable cabinet.

Abstract: A compressor for a file drawer is locked in position within a drawer by unitary spring rod, which serves to both define an operating handle and provide a bias for releasably retaining latch elements associated with opposite ends of the rod in latching engagement with the drawer. The spring rod is adapted for snap-fit attachment to the compressor.
