    Abstract: A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes evaluating calendar information in order to identify a first meeting involving an end user and a second meeting involving the end user. The meetings are configured to be provided consecutively in relation to each other and during a designated time period in which both meetings begin. The credential information can be used to enable participation in the first meeting by the end user. The method also includes transitioning the end user from the first meeting to the second meeting without requiring additional credential information to enable participation in the second meeting. In other embodiments, the method includes prompting the end user with information about the second meeting before transitioning the end user from the first meeting to the second meeting. In still other embodiments, the method includes maintaining shared information generated in the first meeting such that the shared information is provided to the end user in the second meeting.
