    Abstract: A refrigerator handle assembly includes a plurality of base members which are initially attached at spaced longitudinal positions to a front face portion of a refrigerator door, with tab elements of the base members extending into openings formed in the door and screws fixing the base members in place. The handle assembly also includes a plurality of handle clip members positioned within recesses formed in end portions of a handle member. Once the base members are secured, sections of the handle are placed over the base members and the handle is slid relative to the base members whereupon portions of the base members become engaged and co-act with the handle clip members such that the handle member is drawn tight to the front face portion of the door and releasably locked in position.

With the handle in this position, one or more mechanical fasteners are driven into a body portion of the handle and into the door.

    Abstract: A refrigerator cabinet assembly includes a shell formed from a pre-painted material having first and second laterally spaced upstanding side walls which are interconnected by a top wall, with each of the first and second side and top walls including a front edge portion leading to a flange assembly defining a liner receiving cavity. The flange assembly includes a front flange leading to a return flange that extends to a rear flange and terminates in a bent flange. The cabinet assembly further includes a plurality of corner and stanchion reinforcing members secured behind respective return flange sections. The reinforcing members function to increase the structural integrity of the shell while including tab structure for mounting and/or shell deformation preventing purposes.

    Abstract: A wheeled leveling device is provided that includes a cabinet bracket, a wheel assembly, and an adjustment screw. The cabinet bracket includes a pair of slots that include detent portions. The wheel assembly includes a roller rotatably secured to a wheel assembly bracket. A pair of rockers secured to the wheel assembly bracket slide into and engage with the slots of the cabinet bracket. The rockers pivot about the detent portions of the slots such that the wheel assembly does not disengage. The adjustment screw passes through a hole in the cabinet bracket and a hole in the wheel assembly bracket and engages with a threaded fastener secured to the wheel assembly bracket. Turning the adjustment screw causes the wheel assembly to pivot about the detent portions of the slots of the cabinet bracket, thereby raising or lowering the roller and hence altering the height of the appliance.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for securing a handle to a door includes a first clip fastened to the door, a second clip fastened to the door and a handle clamped to the door by the first and second clips. The clip has a flat surface with an aperture therethrough and two wings at one end. A bent or beveled portion at the other end of the flat surface allows the clip to clamp the inner wall of the handle. A fastener, such as a screw, is placed through the aperture in the clip and into the exterior surface of the door to secure the clip and the handle to the door.

    Abstract: An extending vertical wall is provided that secures to the rear edge of a shelf assembly inside a refrigerator compartment. The vertical wall comprises a vertical panel with two downwardly protruding legs. The legs removably reside within sockets included in the rear edge of the refrigerator shelf assembly. When the vertical wall is attached to the refrigerator shelf assembly, the vertical wall prevents items placed on the shelf from toppling off the back edge of the shelf assembly. At the user's discretion, the vertical wall may be quickly and easily removed from the shelf assembly. In an alternative embodiment, the wall is a formed retainer having an inserted U-shape such that the legs are received in the shelf sockets.
