  • Patent number: 12596138
Abstract: An electrical sensor includes a conductor and an electrical sensor surrounding the conductor to monitor the conductor. An insulating body is molded around the conductor and the electrical sensor. A conductive insert is coupled to the electrical sensor to support the screen around the conductor during molding of the insulating body. After molding, the conductive insert remains coupled to the electrical sensor as an electrical terminal.

  • Publication number: 20250239424
Abstract: An electrical device includes an internal electrical conductor that extends along a longitudinal axis. An insulator is overmolded around the internal electrical conductor such that the insulator includes first and second insulator portions with a parting plane at an interface between the first and second insulator portions. The parting plane is oriented such that it intersects the longitudinal axis. The electrical device may include a low electrical stress area defined by an electrical shield, wherein the parting line may be disposed entirely within the low electrical stress area. The electrical device may be a switchgear that includes a vacuum interrupter assembly having a vacuum bottle surrounded by an insulating sleeve comprising first and second sleeve portions with a parting plane at an interface between the first and second sleeve portions. The parting plane is oriented such that it intersects the longitudinal axis.

  • Publication number: 20250118928
Abstract: An electrical bushing includes a conductor extending along a longitudinal axis and an insulating body surrounding at least a portion of the conductor. The insulating body includes a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a plurality of sheds extending away from the longitudinal axis between the first end and the second end. The insulating body further includes a recess extending into the insulating body from the first end. The recess defines a female connection interface in communication with the conductor. The insulating body further includes an outer surface extending from the first end to a first shed of the plurality of sheds. The outer surface is configured such that electrical stresses on the outer surface vary by 25% or less along an entire length of the outer surface when the conductor is energized to a non-zero potential.
