  • Publication number: 20130328289
Abstract: A toepiece of a binding to secure a boot to a gliding board includes two rigid jaws pivotable about respective horizontal axes oriented in a longitudinal direction. A releasing system for automatically releasing the boot by twisting the boot, associated with tilting of jaws. Tilting of at least one jaw causes the toepiece to take up a closed configuration, a releasing configuration for releasing the boot as a result of twisting of the boot, or a fitting configuration. The releasing system includes an elastic return for the jaws in the closed configuration and releasing configuration of the toepiece. Connection between a jaw and the elastic return includes at least one transmission link articulated to the jaw about a hinge axis oriented in the longitudinal direction so the jaw and transmission link form a knuckle joint that deforms in the plane corresponding to the transverse direction and vertical direction of the toepiece.

  • Patent number: 7744113
Abstract: A device for retaining and longitudinally adjusting a binding (4, 6) on a ski (2) is attached in a removable and adjustable fashion on the upper surface of said ski in a determined longitudinal position. The binding includes a base plate (9) longitudinally slidably mounted on the support piece (8) interdependent with the ski. The base plate carries a lock which is vertically movable for permitting displacement towards the top and towards the bottom, and inversely. A biasing system urges the lock from its unlocked position (upper position), towards its unlocked position (lower position) such that it cooperates with the support piece. A structure maintains a transverse position of the removable unlocking tool (15), which is configured to retain the lock in the upper, unlocked position.

  • Patent number: 6951347
Abstract: The front binding (1) comprises two jaws (5a, 5b) holding a boot vertically and laterally by means of their actions on the sole of the boot and articulated on a carriage (4) that is movable in translation between two extreme positions in which the action of the carriage (4) on release means gives rise to the release of the boot by rocking of one or other of the jaws (5a, 5b). The carriage (4) is returned to an intermediate position by an elastic means. The binding is noteworthy in that the rocking pins of the jaws (5a, 5b) are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the binding. The binding makes it possible to hold a boot having a sole that makes it easier for the user to walk.

  • Patent number: 6786501
Abstract: Device for adjusting the relative position between a first part, for example a ski binding heel-piece, equipped with a toothed strip (8) and a second part, for example a slide (2), equipped with two opposed sets of teeth (16, 17) collaborating with the sets of teeth (10, 11) of the strip. The sets of teeth of one of the parts are offset by a half-tooth and the teeth of the sets of teeth are truncated. The sets of teeth of the two parts come into mesh alternately on one side and the other, making it possible to have a pitch for adjustment equal to a half-tooth rather than a full tooth. The fineness of the adjustment is thus improved.

  • Patent number: 6454291
Abstract: A ski binding includes a stop (3) and a heel piece (5). An elastic means opposes the release of the stop and the heel piece. The elastic means includes a blade (6) working in buckling mode between two slides (2, 4) which correspond to the stop and the heel piece, respectively. Conventional springs for releasing the stop and the heel piece are therefore replaced by this longitudinally arranged blade.
