  • Patent number: 11803200
Abstract: Thermostatic cartridge for a mixing valve for mixing a cold incoming fluid and a hot incoming fluid in a determined proportion to form a mixture. A head includes a housing extending along a central axis, and a thermostatic regulating assembly. A regulating system defines an abutment surface adjustable in axial translation with respect to the head. A thermostatic system includes a heat sensitive first portion over which the mixture can flow, and a second portion to abut axially against the abutment surface. The first portion can move the second portion axially between plural positions relative to the first portion, the relative positions determined by the mixing temperature. A slide mounted on the first portion moves axially relative to the head for modifying the determined proportion, and may slide between a normal position and plural overtravel positions axially closer to the head than the normal position.

  • Publication number: 20220107658
Abstract: This assembly comprises a casing, a thermostatic element and a slide. This slide is movable along an axis of the element so a first seat of the slide and a first seat of the casing delimit between them a first passage running around the axis and in which a hot fluid inlet opens and a second seat of the slide and a second seat of the casing delimit between them a second passage running around the axis and in which a cold fluid inlet opens. These first and second passages are closed when the slide occupies a first or second axial position, respectively, in which the first or second seat of the slide is in axial abutment against the first or second seat of the casing, respectively. They are open continuously all around the axis when the slide occupies an intermediate position between the first and second positions.

  • Patent number: 11053928
Abstract: This assembly comprises a cup containing a thermally-expandable material, a piston designed to move in translation along an axis (X-X) under the action of the thermally-expandable material, a guide (40) for guiding the piston and intended to be fixed to the cup, and a buffer (60) made of an elastomer material and designed to be interposed between the thermally-expandable material and the piston. The guide is provided with a bore (41) that is intended to be centered on the axis and comprises a first bore portion (41.2) having a constant cross-section, a second bore portion (41.1) provided to receive the piston and having a cross-section that is both constant and smaller than that of the first bore portion, and a third bore portion (41.3) that continuously connects the first and second bore portions.

  • Patent number: 10753486
Abstract: A cartridge is disclosed that has a base with a first base portion with a first inlet opening for a first of the cold and hot fluids to be mixed, and a second base portion with a second inlet opening for the second fluid and an outlet opening for a mixture of the cold and hot fluids. The cartridge also has a thermostatic element, as well as a control spool for controlling the temperature of the mixture. The control spool defines a spool axis that is parallel to the base axis. In order to maximize the flow sections of the fluids through the base, the spool axis is offset relative to the base axis.

  • Patent number: 10671101
Abstract: An assembly for manufacturing a cartridge for regulating cold and hot fluids to be mixed, includes a pre-assembled base module, with a base, which encloses a mixing chamber with first and second inlets, for a cold fluid and for a hot fluid, respectively, and an outlet for a mixture of the cold and hot fluids, a slide, which is movable in the chamber so as to inversely vary a flow of the hot and cold fluids, and a thermostatic actuator arranged in the chamber, which moves the slide to a position corresponding to a pre-set temperature for the mixture. The assembly has at least two specific modules from among a single-control module, a sequential module and a dual-control module, each module being pre-assembled and including a housing suitable for being attached to the base, and an adjustment member movably mounted in the housing.

  • Patent number: 10642290
Abstract: A cartridge has first and second separate base portions axially vertically adjacent in a stationary manner relative to one another. The first and second base portions have first and second opposing axial surfaces, such that the second surface of the first base portion and the first surface of the second base portion are applied axially against one another and include respective portions in axial contact with one another, which form a sealed joining interface between the first and second base portions. The cartridge also has a thermostat, as well as a slide valve connected to the body of the thermostat for controlling the temperature of the mixture of fluids, which moves along the axis of the base inside the first base portion to vary inversely the respective flow sections of a first passage for the first fluid and of a second passage for the second fluid.
