  • Patent number: 10472267
Abstract: A salt separator separates salts and/or solid materials from a pumpable aqueous fluid mixture under process conditions, which lie in the range of the critical point for the fluid mixture. The salt separator contains a reaction zone in a cavity for transforming the pumpable aqueous fluid mixture into a raw mixture, e.g. a methanation reaction, and a feed opening for the pumpable aqueous fluid mixture to the cavity. The feed opening is realized in a rising pipe that protrudes into the cavity. A first extraction opening is provided for the raw mixture freed of salts and/or solid materials. The first extraction opening is arranged in the upper region of the cavity and a second extraction opening is provided for a brine containing the salt and/or the solid materials. The second extraction opening is arranged in the lower region of the cavity and is located lower down than the feed opening.

  • Patent number: 8475549
Abstract: To generate methane from biomass, a biomass pulp is produced from the biomass with a desired dry mass content being set, and the biomass pulp is placed under pressure. The biomass pulp is heated under pressure in order to liquefy the solid organic components of the biomass pulp. The pressurized and heated biomass pulp is heated further to at least the critical temperature of the biomass pulp. Solids precipitated under pressure and increased temperature are separated from the fluid phase. At least a part of the remaining fluid phase is gasified under pressure and increased temperature by means of a reactor to form a methane-rich gas.

  • Patent number: 6712628
Abstract: The invention concerns the devices which make it possible to connect a plug (116) to a radio frequency circuit (207) whilst simultaneously breaking the connection from this radio frequency circuit to an antenna circuit (201). It consists in using the ends of the earth plane (203) and of the antenna circuit (201) in order to directly establish respectively contact between the external casing (116) of the plug with the earth plane (203) when the plug is connected, and contact between a spring connector (204) itself connected to the radio frequency circuit (207) and the antenna circuit (201) when the plug is disconnected. This spring connector (204) is held captive in a cylindrical protrusion (213) on the support (202) for the antenna circuit and the earth plane.

  • Patent number: 6692263
Abstract: A spring connector for connecting at least one electrical track of a display screen with an electrical circuit also holds the display screen in position. A flexible metal foil forms a spring and a plastics material film which includes at least one electrical track has substantially the same shape as the metal foil and is fixed to one face of the metal foil. At least one of the tracks of the plastics material film connects tracks of the display screen with the electrical circuit.

  • Publication number: 20020082458
Abstract: A continuous process for the conversion of biomass to form a chemical feedstock is described. The biomass and an exogenous metal oxide, preferably calcium oxide, or metal oxide precursor are continuously fed into a reaction chamber that is operated at a temperature of at least 1400° C. to form reaction products including metal carbide. The metal oxide or metal oxide precursor is capable of forming a hydrolizable metal carbide. The reaction products are quenched to a temperature of 800° C. or less. The resulting metal carbide is separated from the reaction products or, alternatively, when quenched with water, hydolyzed to provide a recoverable hydrocarbon gas feedstock.
