  • Publication number: 20230070813
Abstract: A carrier for an irradiated target includes a first portion and a second portion having inner walls. One or both of the first and second portions has a recess extending inwardly from the inner wall thereof to receive the irradiated target. The first and second portions are removably attachable in sealing engagement. The inner walls face each other and form a barrier around the recess upon the first and second portions being removably attached. A fastening system provided on one or both of the first and second portions maintains the first and second portions in sealing engagement. There is also disclosed a kit of the carrier and the irradiated target, a dissolution system for producing a solution from the irradiated target, and a corresponding method.

  • Patent number: 10125923
Abstract: A security apparatus and gate for a vertical baler has a perimeter security barrier formed as a pivotable U-shaped bar adapted to be connected to opposite side walls of the baler and used to block a user from moving too close to the baler when ejecting a bale therefrom, and an operator safety gate adapted to be pivotally connected to one side wall of the vertical baler and overlaping an ejection gate of the vertical baler and used to prevent the ejection gate from pivoting to an open position, such that the baler cannot eject a bale therefrom until the operator safety gate is pivoted into an open position allowing the ejection gate to be pivoted to an open position and the perimeter security barrier is pivoted into a blocking position.

  • Publication number: 20070283525
Abstract: A kit (1) for assembling a variety of different door configurations adapted to be installed within a predetermined range of dimensions, onto a specific door opening (7) defined within a fixed structure (9) and contained within said predetermined range of dimensions. The kit (1) includes first components (11) for assembling a specific door leaf (13) shaped and sized for substantially covering the specific door opening (7). The kit (1) also includes second components (15) for mounting onto the fixed structure (9) of the specific door opening (7), the second components (15) including components (15) for assembling a track system (17) along which the specific door leaf (13) is configured to travel. The kit (1) also includes third components (19) for assembling a counterbalancing system (21) operatively connectable between the specific door leaf (13) and the fixed structure (9) for counterbalancing the specific door leaf (13) with respect to said fixed structure (9).

  • Patent number: 6986378
Abstract: A braking device configured for use with the counterbalancing system of a garage door. The braking device includes a support bracket, a ratchet wheel, a pawl arm, and a biasing spring. The support bracket is rigidly connected to a fixed structure and has a guiding slot. The ratchet wheel is securely mounted about the overhead shaft of the counterbalancing system and has at least one notch. The pawl arm has first and second ends, the first end of the pawl arm being pivotally connected to the support bracket and the second end of the pawl arm cooperating with the guiding slot and being movable with respect to the support bracket along said guiding slot. The first and second ends of the pawl arm are further connected to flanges of a plug on either side of the overhead shaft. The biasing spring is operatively connected between the support bracket and the pawl arm so as to exert a biasing force for biasing the pawl arm towards the ratchet wheel.

  • Publication number: 20050006545
Abstract: A wall bracket for supporting an overhead door assembly, such as that of garage doors and the like. The wall bracket includes a first portion for fastening onto a fixed structure, such a wall, said first portion extending along a first vertical plane. The wall bracket also includes a second portion for receiving a corresponding component of the door assembly, said second portion extending along a second vertical plane substantially perpendicular to the first vertical plane of the first portion. An important feature of the wall bracket resides in the fact that it further comprises an embossed portion, made integral to the second portion and being shaped and sized for increasing the sectional inertia of the second portion so as to provide said second portion with an reinforcement resistant to warping of said second portion.
