  • Patent number: 10183798
Abstract: A packaging and cooking device includes a bottom, top and four side walls, each including a first fold line parallel to and slightly distant from the bottom, a second fold line parallel to the first line, two opposing side walls including two diagonal fold lines in the portion of the side walls located above the first line, the top including two flaps, each having a free edge and connected to two opposing side walls and a hooking system enabling flaps to be held in closed position. The hooking system includes a tab connected to the free edge of a first flap and a cut-out, provided in a second flap for inserting the tab in an insertion direction, the cut-out extending in a direction approximately perpendicular to the insertion direction and including a projecting shape offset relative to the ends thereof and oriented in the direction opposite to the insertion direction.

  • Publication number: 20180208386
Abstract: A device for cooking corn kernels for making popcorn comprising a non-folding volume and a folding volume. The folding volume is configured to take up at least two positions, a first position in which the folding volume is folded and a second position in which it is unfolded. The folding volume includes four walls and at least two walls include a diagonal fold. The device includes a top that delimits the folding volume in at least the second position. The top is formed by two flaps that are each secured to at least two side walls. The flaps are biased in the closed position and are opened by squeezing the vertical edges of the device together.

The folding volume is configured to take up at least two positions, a first position in which the folding volume is folded and a second position in which it is unfolded. The folding volume includes four walls and at least two walls include a diagonal fold. Additionally, each wall includes a first horizontal fold that is parallel to an edge of the device formed by the non-folding volume. In the first position the non-folding volume is limited one or more of the four walls. At least one opening, in at least one of the side walls, has a horizontal orientation in the first position and a vertical orientation in the second position. The opening does not intersect a diagonal fold.

  • Patent number: 8316760
Abstract: A device for displaying and cooking food such as kernels of corn includes a container with a base that can store kernels of corn extended by a compensation zone that can assume at least two positions, one folded and the other unfolded. The compensation zone includes four faces: two retractable faces and two stiffening faces opposite, whereby the retractable faces each include a fold that is approximately at the center of each of these faces and parallel to the base. The stiffening faces each include a first fold that is approximately at the center of each of these faces and parallel to the base and diagonal folds, whereby the base is rigid over a height so as to delimit a restricted space in which kernels of corn are likely to be stored when the compensation zone is in the folded position.

  • Publication number: 20090029013
Abstract: A device for packaging and cooking popcorn includes in the lower part an essentially rigid base, and in the upper part a compensating zone that can occupy a first folded position in which it forms a cover for the base and delimits a restricted volume, and a second unfolded position in which it forms a tube and delimits a larger volume suited to that of the cooked popcorn. The device is produced from a complex material that includes a layer made of cardboard-type material to ensure the rigidity and a layer that is made of flexible and airtight plastic that is placed on the surface oriented toward the inside of the device. The device includes a window at least at the level of a wall of the compensating zone, whereby the complex material does not have a layer that is made of cardboard-type material to the right of the window.

  • Publication number: 20080000359
Abstract: The object of the invention is a device for packaging and cooking that is suitable for popcorn and that comprises a first container into which is placed a small container (62) of limited volume, characterized in that the small container (62) is produced from a mold that comprises a first portion that forms a container and at least a second portion that forms a pivoting cover that is connected to the first portion on the one hand, by at least one folding line that forms a joint, and, on the other hand, by a thermosetting bond so as to form a sealed chamber in a first state called a closed state and to allow the pivoting of the cover so as to allow the expansion of popcorn into a second state called an open state, after the thermosetting bond is broken when the temperature exceeds a certain threshold.
