  • Publication number: 20100188979
Abstract: Each network node having at least one destination-oriented link toward a directed acyclic graph (DAG) destination can receive a corresponding set of path performance metrics via the destination-oriented link. The set of path performance metrics, initiated by the DAG destination outputting initial link metrics on each of its source-connecting links, identifies aggregate link metrics for a corresponding path to the DAG destination via the corresponding destination-oriented link. The network node outputs a corresponding updated set of path performance metrics on each of its source-connecting links based on the received set of path performance metrics and the corresponding link metric for the corresponding source-connecting link. Hence, each network node in the DAG can assess the performance of each connected path to the DAG destination, and forward a data packet via a selected destination-oriented link based on the corresponding path performance metrics and forwarding policies for the forwarded data packet.

  • Publication number: 20090323698
Abstract: The embodiments described herein present methods and apparatuses for on-path CAC operations in a MPLS-VPN environment. In an example embodiment, an ingress PE device receives a quality of service (QoS) resource reservation request; constructs an outgoing message that includes information allowing an egress PE device to identify the virtual private network routing and forwarding table (VRF) associated with a resource reservation resulting from the QoS resource reservation request; and transmits the outgoing message to the egress PE device, where the information allowing VRF identification is echoed back by the egress PE device and used by the ingress PE device to identify the VRF associated with the resource reservation resulting from the QoS resource reservation request. Other embodiments are described.

  • Patent number: 7198684
Abstract: A plurality of gas turbine components or other articles are manufactured from a plurality of metallic-alloy workpieces using a manufacturing apparatus having a metalworking apparatus, and an annealing apparatus wherein the individual workpieces are annealed by single-workpiece annealing and not by large-batch annealing. A workpiece flow of the plurality of workpieces is established sequentially through the metalworking apparatus and the annealing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7059832
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotation-locking device of a sector of rectifier blades (5) mounted in a sector of the turbojet housing. A sector of blades comprises a support base (3). A housing sector comprises two recesses perpendicular to the axis of the housing, each receiving an edge (34-1, 34-2) of the support base. At one and the same axial end of the housing sector, each recess opens out into a seat (30-1, 30-2) defining an axial face (32-1). The device comprises an axial stop (26) adapting itself on each side in the seats (30-1; 30-1) of the two recesses, and once the complementary sector of the housing is installed and during operation of the turbojet, bearing on the axial faces (32-1) under the thrust of the complementary sector of rectifier blades in order to provide rotation locking.

  • Patent number: 4488537
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and installation for improving the efficiency of a submerged-combustion heating installation. According to the invention, to prevent thermal stresses injurious to the combustion chamber (3) and avoid the production or penetration of vapors into the top part of the chamber (16), the installation is ventilated (7) with air after the burners (1) have been turned off, for at least sufficient time for adequately cooling the walls of the combustion chamber (3).

  • Patent number: 4269484
Abstract: An optical system for extremely high focal length variation comprising an attachment of variable magnification and a base objective of fixed focal length, whereby the attachment has at least four lens members which are displaceable along the optical axis with the focal length change. Viewed in the incoming direction of the light, the first and fourth displaceable lens members are displaceable according to the same movement law, and the second and third lens member are displaceable according to movement laws which are different from one another, preferably however being related to each other.

  • Patent number: 4174153
Abstract: A varifocal camera objective is adjusted in its telephoto position, by an axial shift of one of its movable components or by the insertion of a negative lens member, to extend its overall focal length with consequent increase in its back-focal length, that increase being compensated by the emplacement of a supplemental positive lens member in first or second position. If the movement of the shiftable component is controlled by a cam track, the axial displacement thereof beyond the varifocal range may be normally blocked and may be unblocked only when a feeler detects the presence of the supplemental positive lens member. A similar feeler mechanism may be used to prevent the emplacement of an attachment bearing such a supplemental lens member unless the shiftable component is enabled to move into its off-normal position. A focal-length-increasing negative lens member may be carried on an eccentric disk for selective interposition into the path of incident light rays just ahead of a reflex prism.

  • Patent number: 4110005
Abstract: A varifocal object selectively focusable upon a normal range of object distances and a substantially shorter macro range can be supplemented by a negative component of one or more lenses whose focal length is less than the depth of the macro range and which forms a virtual image of a nearby object on the object plane of the objective when the latter is adjusted to a predetermined closeup position. A correlating linkage between a seat for the supplemental component and a control member designed to establish the closeup position serves to index the control member in that position or to prevent the emplacement of the supplemental component if the objective is in a different position.
