The athletic jersey also includes wrist cuff portions at the end of each sleeve, wherein each of the wrist cuff portions includes an inner layer comprising a cut-resistant fabric material, an outer layer comprising a flexible fabric material, and an elastic band configured to secure each of the wrist cuff portions to a wearer.
