  • Patent number: 9688412
Abstract: An aerodynamic fairing whose floor has absolutely no contact with respect to the lateral panels over the entire length of the fairing along the longitudinal axis. A free space e is provided between the floor and the lower edge of each panel. There is a longitudinal mechanical gap between the floor and each of the lateral panels. The absence of any rigid mechanical connection between the floor and the lateral panels allows the transfer of the thermomechanical stresses from the floor to the lateral panels and therefore preventing the deformation of the fairing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 30, 2014
Date of Patent: June 27, 2017
    Assignee: Airbus Operations (SAS)
Inventors: Francois Peyruseigt, Thierry Gaches, Mathieu Kaleta, Nicolas Voyer
  • Patent number: 9469409
Abstract: An aerodynamic fairing including at least one sub-assembly, each sub-assembly having a frame which is orientated transversely relative to the longitudinal axis of the fairing and a floor portion which is provided with an inner face, via which the floor portion is fixed to the frame. The fairing further comprises lateral panels which are fixed to the frame and which each extend substantially along the longitudinal axis of the fairing at one side and the other of a plane of symmetry of the fairing. The floor portions of the sub-assemblies are not mechanically connected to each other via rigid connections. The division of the floor into separate portions allows a reduction in the longitudinal thermomechanical stresses applied by the expansion of the floor under the action of the primary hot flow of the turbo reactor.

  • Patent number: 8573848
Abstract: A ball slide bearing (18) includes an inside ring (19) and an outside ring (21), whereby the inside ring (19) is provided with an essentially cylindrical inner surface (19A) and a spherical outer surface (19B), and whereby the outside ring (21) is provided with a cylindrical outer surface (21B) and a cylindrical inner surface (21A). The bearing (18) includes an intermediate ring (20) that is inserted between the outside ring (21) and the inside ring (19), whereby the intermediate ring is provided with a spherical inner surface (20A) that can work with the outer surface of the inside ring (19) to allow the rotation along the three axes of rotation and an outer surface that defines at least one curved sliding surface (20B) in a direction that can work with a corresponding inside sliding surface (21A) of the outside ring (21).
