Abstract: A convertible child restrain seat is provided having a seat portion pivotally mounted to a base, the base including a spring biased slide bar having a post, the seat portion having an elongated member having a plurality of catches configured to mate with the post. Each catch corresponds with a different angle of inclination of the seat portion relative to the base. The post is thereby biased towards the catch to secure the seat portion at a selected angle of inclination. The angle can be adjusted by sliding the slide bar away from the catch and pivoting the seat portion between an upright position, a semi reclined position and an inclined position. An adjustable shield is also provided incorporating a cam actuated height adjustor to allow for shield position adjustment relative to the seat portion.
