  • Publication number: 20240131328
Abstract: An electroporation device adapted to perform the following operations: detect the resistance value RA,B between a pair of electrodes placed in a portion of human tissue; calculate, select and store a pair of values of total duration ?(n,t) and voltage V that satisfy the inequality: ? · [ ( V / d ) ] 2 · ? ? ( n , t ) ? > A ? D R where: ADR represents the energy dose that realises a reversible electroporation—the energy dose ADR is a known value stored in the device; ? is defined as the inverse of resistivity ?=1/; d is the spacing of the electrodes; the resistivity =R*S/d where R denotes the measured and stored resistance value and S the section of the electrodes; and control a power amplifier so that a voltage equal to the voltage V is applied to the electrodes and supplied to the tissue portion for the determined total duration ?.

  • Publication number: 20180001085
Abstract: A handling and control system for expandable electrodes of a handpiece is provided that includes a plurality of flexible electrodes made of elastic cables carried by a support assembly with needle-shaped front portions that protrude from the support assembly and move in a three-dimensional space under the push of actuators.

  • Publication number: 20120130369
Abstract: A reversible electroporation device in which an electric pulse generator generates a sequence of electric pulses delivered to electrodes coupled to a tissue in which a process of reversible electroporation that generates cell apoptosis is to be performed. The device is configured to control the amplitude of the pulses and the number of the pulses delivered to the electrodes so that the amount of energy per weight unit (absorbed dose) applied to the tissue is in a range between a first lower limit value of about 3000 J/kg and a second upper limit value of about 4500 J/kg.
